I use the pony tailed guys ([Banned Site]) mount. puts it under the brake booster on the firewall. Also made an extension hose and bracket to mount an air chuck by my winch.

no link, can't even type in the dudes name... weird.
I went that route as well. Been over a year with zero issues and I still find it super convenient to have the connector right at the front bumper. We get tons of nail flats on our work trucks (we drive through lots of new housing construction areas) and it makes it a quick inflate after I plug the puncture.
This is the system I used.
With hind sight I might have gone for ARB's twin compressor, but the single compressor works fine for me. Good luck.
I'm surprised you were able to link this - may not last long - admin is pretty diligent about keeping any reference to his stuff in a black hole..

How much work is it to change the air filter with each mounting location?

I installed my ARB dual under the passenger seat using the ARB underseat mount. I didn't need the manifold for air lockers, so I reduce the amount of material removed from the lower vent. I run my AC on floor mode to cool the compressor while running it. It stays cleaner, drier and is out of sight.
Can you give any advice on the wiring? I've got the Dual, and I'm planning to use the same ARB underseat mount.

I'm expecting to run the wiring through the firewall, if that's possible, but I don't want any new holes.

How did you do it? Pics help, if you've got em.

I went with ARB dual compressor and tank in a portable suitcase they sell. I can run it in any vehicle. You can see it bungied in the back of the JLR. left side.

Have you had any heat issues at all? I moved mine from under the hood to under the passenger due to a myriad of problems I was having with it in the original location.

Anyone do a tailgate mount? I’m thinking of getting a Molle panel that attaches to unsafe tailgate and then install arb compressor there.

I took an idea from someone else on here (can't remember the username) and mounted behind the driver's side taillight.

For the chuck I mounted inside the fuel door using Next Ventures part. Also extended the air filter to inside the cab to draw cooler air.

Entire plan was to focus on space maximizing and not having to open my hood or doors in case I have to air up in the rain.

I took out my back seat and added a 4dr shelf after drilling the front mounting holes, my plan is to mount it there or behind the R/seat. there are not a lot of options for us 2drs, most aftermarket mans, don't want to spend the R&D for a 10%er

Nope. Not a one. I use it for my tires and when I do that the hood is open. The other use is the swaybar bisconnect so it only cycles for like 15 s every. 15-20 min
