Yeah, that looks like normal amount of bumps for that kit and the RRD shocks, my guess is that it reconnected on you….
This makes sense. Well looks like I got to see how much flex I get with sway bars connected!

Yeah, make sure the front is moving. The RK setup flexes a ton, even with extra front bumpstop pads. I’m running 2 pads, any less and I’d really mash the front tire into the GenRight fenders. Tires already rub the fenders.

Thanks for this. As Roky said, I suspect that my sway bar reingaged when I turned the Jeep off. It’s the only explanation that makes sense. I do recall seeing the ends of the sway bar being on a similar plane as each other - and just didn’t think much of it in the moment.

You'll never get the same flex out of a 2dr, wheelbase makes quite a difference in articulation. It looks like you should get significantly more, but it won't match the 4drs posted.

A bit off-topic, but the question came up from reading this thread:
I just got the apex autolynx sway bar disconnect. Above was reference to possible damage to fenders when articulated.
Q: Is there something I should be adding to reduce risk of damage to anything? I have a stock 2024 JLU Willys (Rubicon fenders are stock). It looks like the disconnects themselves will not pierce the inner fender, which is something the company discusses. Is there some other potential damage I should be aware of and mitigate? Just checking. (The danger of not reconnecting I know about.)
Thanks.

I flexed out the jeep again with the sway bar disconnected - for sure - left the engine running. (Even in 4lo, it reconnected with engine off!?) Anyways the results were much better.

Front 33.5” to bottom of fork
Rear 31.5” to bottom of fork

Yes.
I have read that even though it’s disconnected, there could be some binding. Not sure if this is true. The RK links are pretty flexible though…
Those pictures make me think it’s actually not disconnected. You should have way more flex than that.

I also trimmed the rear wheel well rear pinch seam - including cutting off the AAL lower liner bracket. At full bump, I just clear it now.

Yep. It was definitely not disconnected on Saturday. Today, I left the engine running & achieved full stuff to the bump stops. See post 23

Yeah, that’s a nanny that even the Tazer can’t get rid of…it’ll let you stay disconnected at any speed and even in 2wd but soon as the engine is off it reconnects…safety first….🙄

Tazer allows it to stay disconnected above 18mph?! Cool.

Yeah, you have to ( what they call remap it) which means make one of the cruise control buttons the new sway bar button..mine is the resume button….so as long as you use the new button to disconnect it will stay disconnected until you push the button again, no matter the speed….the resume button acts normally when the cruise control is in use…..
