Faraday Box, for the Key Fobs

I've noticed a rash of Dodge and Ram vehicles being stolen in my area. All have keyless Fobs. The latest one was stolen in a couple of seconds, an expensive Dodge Challenger. All signs point to the fob being cloned.
So, I ordered and received a Faraday Box from Amazon, for $15. Its big enough for 6 of our monster key fobs. Now, I can sleep better at night.

Isolating you fob will protect you from a 'relay' attack, where someone has to lurk outside you window with a radio transceiver and have an fellow criminal stand next to your vehicle with another radio. I don't think it is that common.

My understanding is that thieves will open the hood (default is no alarm sounding), remove the alarm fuse, then open a door (variety of non destructive methods to do this), open the glove compartment, plug in key programmer to the star connector, program a new key fob (30 seconds), start the Jeep and drive off.

They're not cloning keys like that to steal them. They can make their own keys in about 3 minutes.

If someone gets on my property close enough to clone/relay my fob... the signal they get will be quite a bit different than what key fobs use...

We have a 6" diameter x 3" deep stainless steel food container we toss all the keys into.

We have small faraday pouches, but at home I toss my keys and wallet in a small faraday box. I thought it would be an hassle, but after a couple of weeks of doing so, it’s just an unconscious habit.
