Nice job for sure
I will have to search around for the leaf spring perches (unless you remember where you bought them or have a link)
It looks like if I enlarged the center hole(where you have the screws) I could slip the right over the nipple of the HMMWV jack... thoughts ?

That might work if the post is low enough to not hit the axle or frame. You could cut the post down a bit and disk grinder and thread the center. Or cut it off and do what I did.

Another thought would be to make up some steel donut rings, the thickness of the post height, that slip over that post and just weld the donut to each pad. No bolts. Just drop the pad/donut on the existing jack post.

you couldn't give me AEV parts to put on my jeep. They had nice stuff but its ugly, to bulky and to pricey. I know ill get hate on it but thats just IMO. so it doesn't matter that it is not for me.
Yea most of their stuff is fugly and the few things that look nice enough are far too expensive.

I was thinking a spacer of sorts , maybe a rubber donut or something before putting the axle bracket on.

How do you like the Double Ram bottle jack? I see in the comments a couple of instances where it is hard to remove the jack as it remains under pressure once you bleed it to drop it down...
I have one in my JLR and my LJR and love them. Unlike any other hydraulic I've had, you do need to turn the release screw almost all the way before you can lower it.

I switch tires frequently. Pull off the 33's on the TJR and put them on the JLR to go to the dealer.

I have a tractor jack and an aftermarket bottle jack, so I have no need to use the factory jack.

But...

Where does the factory jack live? I've read it should live in the cubby under the floor in the back, but I have the factory subwoofer. Am I missing something?

It’s under the plastic cover where the top/bolt storage is. In the lip of the tailgate opening.

You guys are funny.

Hi-Lift jacks and double scissors are just accidents waiting to happen unless you only remove wheels in a dry and level Walmart parking lot. My bead breaks

Airbag jacks are the ONLY way to go.

They work in mud, on boulders, in the creek, with or without lift kits and they don’t give a damn about where you put them. You can lift semi-detached axles or you can lift the whole damn Jeep. One side, front side, rear side topside, it don’t matter.

They lift Broncos, Jeeps, PowerWagons and the occasional Freightliner. Hell, you can use ‘em like a dock bumper on a boat if you’re nervous about rolling your door on a rock.

They don’t rust and seize and they stow damn near anywhere. Oh and you can put them between your bumper and “stuck Sam” and push his ass out of the bind without wrecking bumpers.

I could go on and on but you get the point. If you’re still skeptical, ask your local fire department or heavy wrecker what their go to “lifter” is for crashes.….

Guess you've never changed a flat on the trail. I've done it over a dozen times in the last few years.

EXAMPLE AIRBAG JACK

It can lift an incredible 31.5-inch (800 mm) height without other equipment.
Have you read the reviews, they're bad.

That's not going to change the 43's on my LJR.

Changed two flats in the following area, hardly walmart
Jeep Wrangler JL Factory Jack Insanity 2022-03-27 13.39.08

@roaniecowpony have you changed a flat outside walmart?

There's a time and place for an airbag. I was thinking of getting one, but not to eliminate my scissor.

I bought 3” spring perches through summit racing, $12 plus $12 shipping.
Amazon stuff is marked up.
I think I bought my moroso pads from Summit. Not sure about the other set.
