Exactly... My factory jack won't even reach my differential hardly.

Grab a bottle jack from Lowe's or, even better, grab a hi-lift jack and install appropriate armor with hi-lift jackpoints.

I keep forgetting to take my factory jack out... this thread was a good reminder
I'd be careful before tossing the factory jack.

No way in hell I'd use a high-lift to change a tire on mine. I'd have to get a slider like 40" in the air, bumper would be even higher, and I'm not sure I'd even be comfortable at stock heights. I had one fly when I was on my initial 1.5" and 35s setup.

You'd have to be really selective on a bottle. You've got to get under an axle tube at like 6" with a flat (with no tire, that's half a 17 minus half an axle tube). Then you have to get it up with clearance to mount the spare (in my case, half of 37 minus half an axle tube) call it 17". Hard to find a bottle with those specs, remember, you can't always dig a hole for the jack (say in rock) and driving up on a rock to get clearance means lifting the axle at an angle.

I use the stock scissor with the Mopar base (similiar to the ARB above). Although some of the posted scissors definitely look like good options.

Its too bad this thing has the AEV tax on it cause I love the mounting solution for it.

I refuse to pay extra for the mount. Happen to know you can slide it in the rear passenger foot well beneath the front seats just fine.

Whats funny is I find the $18 for the mount is a reasonable price lol

With how much the damn base costs, should've come with it.

Does the JL have the under floor bin out back? The Mopar one drops right in it, and is shaped for the curve.

Exactly lol. Damn AEV tax. Its like the drift tax on any RWD Japanese sedan these days.

It does if you don't have the factory subwoofer. If you have the sub, well, you get a sub instead of a bin.

TBH, I understood the AEV tax a bit more with their JK line - they were one of the few consistently higher/near OEM quality games in town at their price point. Their JL line kind of leaves me cold with how much they charge vs the features delivered.

As a backup. This better jack fits in the same place and is a better jack. I can spin it with my cordless impact driver.

I carry this double ram in all my Rubicons.
How do you like the Double Ram bottle jack? I see in the comments a couple of instances where it is hard to remove the jack as it remains under pressure once you bleed it to drop it down...

I got one designed for a HMMWV... love it. Big and heavy, but no doubt it's going to work when I need it to.

I made up 2 of them from RV jacks. One in my truck and one for the Jeep. It'll easily lift both wheels off the ground jacking the frame of a stock Rubicon. But I keep it for flat tire changing jacking the axle, which it does without a sweat on my 37s. I fabricated the top plate to bolt on frame or axle tube adapters, but if I were to do it again I'd buy a surplus military hummer jack kit.
Thats what I did. Got a brand new HMMWV kit. If you watch for them, you can catch them at a good price.

I had already made mine up by the time I found the HMMWV jack was the same size as what I bought. I trimmed the large top pad and welded a thick plate with a threaded hole to the thin original pad. The cradles I'm using are two different types of leaf spring perches, intended for welding to axle housings. I have one that fits the axle tubes and one that is a square cut-out to fit the frame. I'd modify a HMMWV jack in the way, so it is less likely to slip around.

you couldn't give me AEV parts to put on my jeep. They had nice stuff but its ugly, to bulky and to pricey. I know ill get hate on it but thats just IMO. so it doesn't matter that it is not for me.

Nice job for sure
I will have to search around for the leaf spring perches (unless you remember where you bought them or have a link)
It looks like if I enlarged the center hole(where you have the screws) I could slip the right over the nipple of the HMMWV jack... thoughts ?
