Does this windshield fix by dealer look acceptable?

I can spend you money all day. But if it was me I would just call Safelite to come and fix it at my house out of pocket. Got to put a dollar value on wasted time and frustration. I wouldn't darken that dealers doorway again and would make sure everyone I know does the same. But thats just me.

looks like ass. lets put it this way, Instead of not having your jeep for 9 days, you could have spent 30 minutes driving to Wall-Mart and buying a Tube of black silicon sealant for 4.00 and spent another 30 minutes sealing around the windshield and have something like 10x better than that 9 day low quality type of shit.

They should have taped the perimeter, sealed it, then removed the tape. Would have been a nice straight line. Those guys suck, no pride in their work.

I have noticed a lack of pride in so many areas. I work in mechanical engineering and many just want to complete the job without concern for how it was done. When I train I people in classes, I reiterate my personal motto to the trainees, which is “I don’t want someone working my design in the future to think I was an idiot and didn’t attend to all the details”!

ya i have 3 chips in my JK and the safelight repair does not make them invisible.. Jeep are excellent at killing bugs, and attacking rocks with the windshield

My guess is that they scratched the crap out of the paint while trying to pry the old one out. So they tried to use more sealer than necessary to cover it up.

Have you threatened legal action against them. I wasn't kidding about all of us calling this service department. That's seriously some of the saddest craftsmanship (not sure it can be defined by craftsmanship) I've seen from an authorized dealer. I wish @JeepCares would just call the dealer and tell them they either fix it "professionally" and to factory standard or they'll shut them down.
Dead serious tho, tell us your name and I will call them tomorrow.

That is completely unacceptable and looks like trash. Take that back to the dealership and have them correct it immediately. If problems persist, report them to FCA (IAMJEEP).
