Hey guys. My hard top seems to squeak more since I have been taking it off/on a lot. It seemed very quite initially when I purchased my JLRU last August. I use a silicone spray and lubricate all of the seals and contact points each time I reinstall it. I almost feel like the silicone spray may...
Looks like I am going to pull the trigger on a set of 5 of the Toyo Open County AT3... 35x12.5R17 "E" rated tomorrow. I was planning on getting a set of the Nitto Ridge Grapplers but according to several sources, there is a national shortage and it may be upwards of 3 months before they will be...
I have had my 2020 JLUR since last August. Passing 10K miles this weekend. After reading about some of the steering issues, I am happy to report my steering is perfect. Tight. Centered. No wobble. No issues, even up to 100 mph.
Changes I would like to see...
* Lockable hood and gas cap. I have...
Have them exchange the hood off another vehicle. Simple fix. Let THEM deal with the repair on the damaged hood.
Had a similar issue with a damaged door many years ago on a Honda Accord. Dealer just swapped the door off another vehicle.
Do NOT accept that they do body work and repaint it.
Picked up my new 2020 JLRU in August. After 5K miles, I can report NO steering issues. I have had it up to 100 mph and have driven it on several different types of roads. The only thing I had to do was back off the factory 42 PSI down to about 34. Drives fantastic. Again, NO steering issues. I...
So sorry to hear about your accident. I saw later in your posting that you have your Jeep repaired now. Not sure how the insurance works in Canada, but you will also want to file a "Diminished Value" or "Loss of Value" claim with the insurance company. Even though your girl has been repaired, it...
Steering felt awkward probably because the dealerships insists on keeping about 42 psi of air in the tires. Drop it to around 33-36 psi and it should drive like a dream.
Enjoy, yeah... enjoy the experience of changing your own oil and filter. Relish the time in letting every drop of the used oil to drain out. Enjoy the great design and simplicity of the entire experience. Be proud of the fact that YOU did it, and did it correctly, unlike the jackass at the...
I like to use 5W-30 oil. That will really void the warranty! LOL
Hey, my comment about the stock wheels being too narrow was just relaying a quote from 2 reps at Nitto tire. Depends on who you talk with or perhaps which attorney does a better sales job, right?
Interesting reading your post. You sound like me!
I just turned my 2016 Mini Cooper S back in after a 3 year lease (funnest vehicle out of the 35 I have owned... besides my JLRU!). Before that, 2013 BMW 328. Before that, a 2 dr. 2012 Rubicon.
Now I have my 2020 JLRU that I ordered...
Whenever you do your homework... spending countless hours on this forum and spending hours at the Jeep dealerships on Sundays, when they are closed, looking at all the Jeeps on the lot (you can ALWAYS find some that are unlocked), then you will become a raging fan like we all are and will know...
It has to be the way your headlights are adjusted.
I have LED's on my 2020 JLRU. I absolutely love them!!! Bright and white but after 3 months of ownership and almost 5000 miles, including driving on winding roads in the Texas Hill Country, I have never been flashed when I have my low beams on.
