will it have the little Jeep easter egg on the bottom? I know it's trivial, but I want it.

Glass shops can get the Mopar glass. I choose to get aftermarket windshields because they are significantly cheaper ($250 vs $600+). You could always get the cheaper windshield and put a little sticker of a Jeep on there.

I've already met my comprehensive deductible this year, so maybe I sould check that my insurance gives me the oem option. Thanks to both of you ?

I had my windshield replaced by Safelite. The tech pointed out that the new windshield will not have the little Jeep on it. My insurance paid 100% of the cost.

It must vary a bit depending on state laws. My replacement was OEM and had the image

I claimed through my insurance, they sent Safelite and the guy told me he had OEM glass and it has the Jeep on it.

You can also buy a Jeep sticker for your aftermarket glass if you so desire.

The higher mileage on your Jeep, the most likely your insurance will lean towards an aftermarket windshield. The aftermarket one isn't terrible, but for some reason I could not get a tech from Safelite to install it right. After the third try, they finally got it done correctly. The last two dolts managed to smear RTV or whatever they use everywhere and pinch half the molding behind the glass.

Dealers don't replace windshields. They just call in an outside contractor. We had six windshields replaced on our 2018 Ruby by Travlers using Safelight before it was totaled by a comp claim. Always got OEM windshields. They were replaced with $0 deductible because we had glass coverage. Think we came out ahead. We're now insured by Farm Bureau on our 2023 Ruby with glass replacement. Hopefully she won't have a bullseye on her windshield.

I had my windshield replaced by Safelite a couple of years ago and I had the choice of OEM or non-OEM...

1. Tell the company you want them to use Mopar glass.
2. 9 times out of 10 the dealer calls one of the glass companies to install the windshield for them. The dealer gets a discount from the glass and then just marks up the cost to you.

Just replaced with generic product <$300 installed. OEM option was a little over $500. I have a $1000 deductible. I can replace 3 generic for less than 2 OEM and have money left over for a new sticker of a Jeep running over Sasquatch.

Replaced mine after trip to Colorado that finally got my original windshield. Insurance was 100 deductible. I called the glass guy he laughed and said he would never put a non oem Jeep windshield in a Wrangler that we are too picky lol. He has a jeep too.
