Any mechanics, or those mechanically inclined, have any thoughts on the technical aspects?
  • How well do these Pentastars handle being overheated?
  • Why isn't it triggering the CEL?
  • What kind of damage was likely done?
  • Is this likely degenerative, will it likely get worse?
  • Whats the likely prognosis for this engine?
They don't
No idea, no misfire yet?
Warped heads is the big one, blown head gasket
Yes likely degenerative
Won't know till there's a code or someone does a teardown

Wow. Great documentation, that will help you a lot. Do as suggested. Find another dealer explain your situation and see if they would be willing to take on the challenge of finding anything wrong or that needs correction and if so present that to original dealer to see if they will pay for it if new dealer does the work. If original dealer says pound sand then have new dealer do any needed under warranty repairs. Then the dealer can let Jeep know and fight that between the dealerships and leave you out of it.

You will never know the damage, if any that was done unless it rears its ugly head. At the very least you could seek an extended no deductible factory warranty, especially if you intend to keep it for many years.

Definitely do a consult with a lawyer.

Good luck.

If it's financed through Jeep, I would withhold future payments until this is fully resolved in your favor - right after consulting with an attorney. One call from a known firm in your area and that service manager is going to experience his balls rising so deep into his torso and his main sphincter clinching so tight, he'll make Michael Jackson sound like Barry White.

Settle down Karen. It was listed on page one. Now go do your due diligence and find it on your own.

Man who watches the video OP posts before replying with their completely well founded and researched opinion. Bruh.
If you’re referencing me, I wasn’t about to watch the whole video just to find out what dealership it is. Also, posting it here in the forum makes it much easier to find instead of making everyone else watch the video just to find out.

Get all your evidence and try to talk to the owner of the dealership. Obviously the Service Team is not being helpful. Also, I have heard of TV stations doing investigations for issues like this. Maybe call the local stations and ask them to investigate. Maybe just them inquiring with the dealership would be enough to make the dealership more cooperative. Getting your story on the News might be pretty embarrassing to them...

I thought I'd include the UOAs too. Both were taken at the same mileage (1,376 on oil) several days apart.

AAB-9794 is a test kit I had on hand. It was sampled from the drain plug after bringing the engine up to temperature.

SDR-0820 includes particulate sampling and was taken from the dip stick tube a few days later. Again, the Jeep was brought up to temperature.

I attribute the discrepancy to the sampling method (tube vs drain plug). All samples prior to SDR-0820 were taken from the drain plug.

Regarding the owner, I did contact him. His name is Mitch. He doesn't think they caused any damage and offered me a free oil change in a few thousand miles. 😡

Do us all a favor and keep us current on how this matter proceeds. You needn't reveal any atty/client convos, of course. This is a matter of general interest to the entire Wrangler owner community.
