if these guys were able to do this with stock 1978 CJ7's on 31' tires, all of us driving lifted JLUR's with +37's should have no problem, right

When it’s running. A carburetor on a CJ and mechanical clutch are much easier to fix in the middle of nowhere with some hand tools. I would never want to do that in a modern computer vehicle that acts wonky every time Voltage drops slightly.
