Corrosion class action lawsuit

So I have a 2020 JL i have 2 corrosion spots on jeep it's going to be covered in have month left on this warranty having said that more is obviously going to happen does anyone know we're i van find a class action lawsuit to sign up for? This is insane that they won't extend coverage for this issue

Make sure to get the corrosion documented well before the warranty periods ends. Go to the dealer and get it on the record, in writing. If you go a day over, they will try to deny coverage...

You don’t have to join the lawsuit. You take your jeep into a Jeep dealer that has a body shop and they inspect the corrosion and submit a report to Stellantis. Stellantis then sends the body shop a quote for how much of the repair cost they will cover. I have a 2018. I got my corrosion work done November 2024. Clearly outside the warranty. Stellantis offered to cover 70% of the work and I paid 30%.

Since it appears that Stellantis doesn't have a solution, the issue will just continue. Many are waiting for the Factory to say, this has been the cause of the issue, and the cause has been eliminated. But it is very questionable, if that day will ever come.

I traded mine on something else last year. I found corrosion in both doors and the tailgate and was told by 2 dealers I needed to find a dealer with a body shop, The one they recommended had already sold their body shop............. For me there isnt one within a reasonable driving distance and with the way these dealers almost ignored me when I asked about all of this rubbed me the wrong way.

I had my 2019 covered by and repaired under warranty. If you intend to keep the Jeep for any period of time you might consider proactively having the body shop replace your hinges with the “new style hinge” and do the associated prep work on the panels where the hinges attach. Yea it’s over kill and you should not have to do it but if your Jeep is a rust bucket in 1,2,3 … years it’s value it’s going to crater. The work so had to have done was in excess of $12K to give you an idea..

This. Dealer denied mine citing it wasn’t covered due to being over the 5 year mark Went back two months later then their excuse was I had just gone over the 100K mark. Fuck them. I’m too far into this build to trade it on. It’ll get half doors when the time comes.

The paint bubbling and the cam/valve lifter problem, have one thing in common. They're intermittent, and there seems no rhyme or reason when it happens. If that's the case, it seems like poor quality control of the manufacturing process.

There already was a class action lawsuit. The end result was getting the warranty extended from 5/60 to 5/100. They are repairing them under that warranty so there is nothing to sue over.
