Cold Air Intake causing error codes

I put a cold air intake on my 21 JLU. After a week or so, it started throwing all kinds of codes including something with my airbags. It eventually stopped running. I let it sit for 15 minutes & it ran OK. Once I got home I put the OEM air cleaner back on & no problems since. Anyone else?

Did you take any pictures of the CAI after you had it installed?

Seems weird that an intake would cause that many problems, unless you forgot to take the filter out of a plastic bag or something. Could also be one of the batteries going out and just a coincidence in timing with your install.

What brand/model was it?

Hard to tell but is the electrical connection/sensor on the far right side of the picture pressed in all of the way?

Yes, I checked that right away.

Hey Dave, I put my CAI (S&B) in soon after delivery. I've never had a code as you described. Maybe it is just a coincidence as some have suggested. I guess, the only thing to do is reattach it and see if the code comes back. ?‍

I've been thinking about it. Since no one seems to have had the problem, I think I will. I have a Tazer on it, so I think I can erase old error codes. I'll check into that as well. Thanks.

Im very new here. But I have read a few comments about Tazer's acting up at times. I want one. But Im hesitant to get one due to reading comments about ghost errors it caused. Hopefully its just that though. On the bright side, at least your stock form for dealer warranty if needed.

So, the problem surfaced today a week after I put the OEM back on. Maybe it's not that. It's going in for service next week. I'll report back.
