The 392 is the base, the xtreme recon package is the only option. Lockers, 35’s, 4.56 gears, lift, beadlocks, leather, Ac, pretty much loaded but I only checked one option? Meets the idea of the thread but definitely not the spirit. Unless of course $80k is considered cheap.

I'm going to assume that A/C is standard. Next I would have to have automatic transmission. (Don't get me wrong, most cars I've owned have been manual and my other DD that I've owned for 11 years has a 6-speed.) Next option if I could go that far would be hardtop.

My base Sport Unlimited came standard with A/C but I've never used it in over three years of ownership. My soft top is completely off for at least six months out of the year.

The only option I did get was limited slip which also gets you a rear D44.

My only regret is not getting the tow package just for the aux switches.

It depends. On a 4 door power windows so I can put the rear down for the kids while driving. Otherwise leather steering wheel, because it feels so much better than a plastic wheel and you literally use it constantly.

This isn’t 1 option as you asked, but it’s a low(-er) cost package—

2 door, willys sport trim, in a manual transmission with manual door locks and windows (Willys includes better wheels, tires, rubicon shocks and limited slip/Rear D44 on the manual transmission), +A/C, +towing for Aux Switches.

It’s about as low as you can get, but definitely awesome. You end up under $35k and can negotiate down from there.

3 years in LA and you've never used the ac? I've had the ac on in February when it was raining out coming home from Disneyland. Top off or not, when the temps are 90+ I'm running the ac. At least you've got cloth seats to soak up the sweat dripping down your back side.

AC is an option on the two door tho….
I feel like that is confusing this thread a bit! BUT I’m waiting on a one option JLU. All I did was pick the color. Base price 34,310. Anyone order a base a jlu for less.???

If you are factory ordering everything is an option. I wanted a bare bones sport but I still had to choose engine which cost $$. I chose auto trans, a/c, rock sliders, a/t tires, limited slip diff, oh! And color. Need to pay extra for anything other than white. But I still got my sport out the door under 35k.

Mine will be here any day. I'm not broke, so I must be a cheapskate - just added a hard top. Everything else is standard (manual trans, cloth seats, manual windows/locks, etc), or no-cost option (like I'm not getting tint on the windows).

Now I know what my tag will say: CHPSK8

My 2019 was the "cheap jeep", base JL sport with 3 options; tinted soft top windows, air conditioning, and limited slip differential. It was a great jeep.

good point - I suppose just getting an unlimited IS sort of an option..... so I guess I'm out of the club, still pretty simple math on this build

My 2018 JLU MSRP was $33,035 which included $595 for a limited slip differential and AT tires, but at the time those were required with a manual transmission.
