I have a zero option Jeep (unless you consider floor mats and a bag with a recovery strap options, but let's pretend I don't have those, because I wouldn't have gone out of my way to pay the factory for them).

The one option I wish I had from the get-go... Hardtop. I ended up buying one anyway, but to get the rear wiper working, it'll be another few hundred bucks and giant hassle to install. I'm not sure I'm going to bother.

Since the trim and number of doors includes some things, here's the things I would add based on trim levels and priority.
AC
power locks
tow package

I don't want the hitch so much as I want the larger alternator, bigger battery and prewired aux switches.

But on this same line of thought, I do kick around the idea of a 2dr Willys vs 4dr. It doesn't save a ton a money on the purchase, but the smaller vehicle has it's perks, and I could probably get by removing the back seat and never putting it back in.

I would start with Sport S and add Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle for $595. $35355 gets you a two door, AC, 7" radio, and upgrade axle. You may be able to negotiate for some spray paint to make the aluminum wheels look good on the white Jeep.

Just for fun, lets say your a cheepskate or just broke and you order a jeep from factory. You only add ONE option....what is it? Go.....
This is my thread. :LOL: I ordered my 2021 JLU Sport, and added exactly one option to the build config: an engine block heater. Done.

I paid cash, so I'm not broke, nor would I consider myself a "cheepskate." I simply didn't pay for what I didn't want.


By the way, I think a lot of people are forgetting the automatic is an option...
The 850RE is compulsory when the 2.0T engine is selected. Although the cost of the transmission has its own line item on the window sticker, it should really be viewed as bundled in the base price of the vehicle when so configured.

The base Rubicon comes very nice equipped and that’s the option I would select and did, fork a little extra for color.

8 speed auto. cuz its the best combo with the 3.6. also the best option for both on and off road use.
