Bubbles in Paint at Door Hinges

Just a little update. Met with Dealer Service manger, body Shop manager and Body Shop district manager who came down from Charlotte. They showed me the 8 different variance panels for Granite Crystal and said the guy that actually painted the panels admitted to not checking the variance panels against the vehicle outside because "it was ranging that day" and he basically made a bad choice.

I am not a painter or body shop person and I could totally wrong here but....
doesn't body shop/paint booth have lights that simulate sunlight to avoid these issues?

They are supposedly expediting the vehicle and promised it "should" be done by end next week and everyone needs to sign off on the spray out panel before anything even hits the Jeep.

Any info showing what’s the percentage of owners seeing bubbling paint on door hinges? Is it inevitable? Is it concentrated in regional areas? Rust belt states? Coastal (salt) areas? Or random? It’s galvanic corrosion so might happen anywhere… ???

I just picked mine up Friday after a 5 door and 1 windshield hinge replacement and can confirm there is a new version of the door hinge that comes with a gasket (incase there was still any doubt). I also picked up a set of the Kentrol Delrin door hinge bushings with the though to further isolate the aluminum doors from contact with steel.

I just picked mine up Friday after a 5 door and 1 windshield hinge replacement and can confirm there is a new version of the door hinge that comes with a gasket (incase there was still any doubt). I also picked up a set of the Kentrol Delrin door hinge bushings with the though to further isolate the aluminum doors from contact with steel.

Any chance of getting a part number for those hinges from you or whoever did the work? My Jeep is going into the shop in May for corrosion repairs and they planned on replacing all of the lower hinges. If there's new hinges & gaskets available, I better ask them to order all new door hinges.

Are those "updated" hinges only used in these repairs at the moment, or where they implemented in production, and if yes, when? I have a '22 built in Jan 2022.

Strange paint. Our 2018 had bubbling paint but it was never the hinges. In fact they still today have no issues. We had both driver side doors bubble up from lower edges . Was repaired in 2020. Still look good today. Now (after warranty) i notice some along the edges of the hood. that will be pricey.....

So I was curious what the state of my hinges were and took off one of them (driver rear to see). It looks like the inside of them is painted now? I think looking back at older hinges the left was raw metal like the right? Note the brown is from fluid film i sprayed.

The hinges on my 2020 gladiator are also black under the factory paint. These had started just started corroding and were replaced in October. The body shop let me have the old hinges.

I scuffed up one of them, I have some touch up paint ill fill it in. On the second bolt i made sure it was seated and it did better

do yours have a a bit of a lip between the face that contacts the car and the rim? if you look at mine there is a bit of a ridge
