Maybe not certifiable credentials, but I did just get my Jeep estimated by three dealerships for a possible sale. Two of them knew about the repaint and the third one didn't. All three came back with the same offer of $27k. Resale to an individual may very well differ between potential buyers but I can say that I would much rather buy one that has been fixed as opposed to one that is still rotting away. YMMV.
Just because a jeeps been repainted doesn’t mean it’s fixed. There are many reports of this continuing to happen, some as early as 6 months after the repair.

That's true, but personally, I'd rather have one that's been fixed than one that is rotting away

Hopefully the class action lawsuit gets serious traction. Tesla uses a lot of aluminum in their cars…and their paint jobs are notorious for bad quality in terms of blemishes and poor application. Yet I’ve never heard of a corrosion complaint on the Tesla forums. Goes to prove the technology clearly exists to avoid this situation in aluminum body parts.
Totally agree here. Not a problem with the concept of using aluminum, rather Jeep figuring out how to do it correctly. I have a 2015 all-aluminum F-150 (first year they switched over) and it is now coming up on 8 years and the paint is perfect. Are you listening Jeep......it is possible if you gave two shits.

Never been so disgusted with a vehicle in my 45 years of driving.

Good comparison Steevr. Similar situation occurred in the 90s with many boat builders jumping on the balsa cored hull bandwagon. It's lighter, less expensive and if done shoddily, can lead to many problems. Unfortunately, only a few quality builders chose the correct, albeit more expensive, path by doing it the right way. I'm uncertain whether, or how, the resulting lawsuits might have been settled. But what I do know is that way too many are still out there, waiting for the unsuspecting owners to be broadsided with problems.

Has this issue been resolved on new builds in '22 and '23? Our '20 Sahara has been "fixed" twice now. I'm thinking about selling it and buying a new model year if the issue has been resolved.

I doubt if we ever know, they will fix their process and the problem will just go away.....them never admitting they had a problem to start with.

If I had to pay out of pocket. I would probably just Line X the doors. I wouldn't try to fix the doors for thousands of dollars for it to happen again in a year.

There will, most likely, not be a fix until at least the next major body change. The new Jeep Wrangler JM, all plastic, just like the Saturn. That way, nobody has to know anything about metallurgy.

Well, not plastic, but it will be mostly fiberglass, as demonstrated by this photograph of the JM prototype that was recently secretly captured:

At least they kept the round headlights.
