I wonder if the shim itself is replaceable like most sacrificial anodes or if we would have to replace the entire assy once the shim gets eaten up?

The 24s should have the new hinges with the zinc shims which should eliminate the paint bubbling issue.

Wonder if the paint issue will have an effect on the JL resale above the overall drop we're seeing. My guess is that it won't be reflected in the KBB (or other) estimates but may come into play when negotiating price on an individual basis.

Great to hear there are some good dealers out there, mostly we hear only about bad experiences.
