I don't know the answere to any of your questions, im just taken back by all the body damage it has.
my personal opinion is that this is a “test” vehicle and the folks driving it are taking lines that have a high risk of bangs and scrapes so that they can prove the capabilities. Said another way, they are not trying, even slightly, to be careful. That’s my guess.

Very selective editing for this one....as to be expected.....

2 door where it was advantageous versus 4 door where it helped. They cut when actually crossing Golden Crack, opting to instead straddle, then cut, then crossing. I'm guessing the wheel stand was deemed "too great" and made it look bad.

Curious as to why they're being followed by a JLUR....is that their recovery vehicle?...or just someone tagging along to watch?

Looks like the end of this video *might* be showing the 2 door Bronco going up an optional, easier line on Widow Maker to the right....can't tell for sure though.
I was just going to reply with the same question? Lol.

Yeah, the shot from above to throw off the perspective on top of stepping back to use the ledge to block view of all that air under the tire.

The wrangler is definitely there to serve as a mobile pick point.

Lol, no clue really. Where I’m from, I don’t believe there’s anything even close to this difficulty

There’s a few more vids out there that I’ve come across.

from the sounds of it there’s a press conference next week. I think August 13, but press lockout until Aug 18. So I guess that means we’ll see a lot more after Aug 18

Jeep has been targeting the soccer mom and mall crawler group ever sense the four door came out. Jeep cares little to nothing about the rock crawling enthusiast.
You do realize competition rock crawlers are closer to the 4 door wheel-base than the 2 door? Stability is a thing.

They did get some damage. But that's a tough trail. We know that a Jeep Rubi with 33's can do it, as well as a Gladiator. So they have to at least show they can do it. I don't remember seeing a Rubicon with as much cosmetic damage as what I saw in pics of the Bronco.

So at best, it can do what a Jeep does. But what did they prove? That a Bronco with 35's can do what a Jeep does with 33's? Ok. That kind of backfired, didn't it?

No matter what they do, that front IFS will be at a disadvantage to a disconnected solid front axle. No way around it. Even bigger tires won't make up for it. Getting power to the ground is key. I'm betting they had that Jeep there as a chase vehicle, you know, to help the Bronco just in case it got stuck.

On another note, I saw a local guy at a car show last night that has an absolutely gorgeous old 2 door Bronco, lifted and decked out. I wonder if he realized how much the value of that thing was going to go up now that the Ford fans have their Bronco fire re-lit. I'll bet he could make a mint off that thing. What would be even cooler is if he bought a new matching white Bronco to go with it. Bet he does.

I love all the excuses. Selective editing...haha.
Right now it’s looking like it can do many of the things the Rubicon can do. Well have to wait for comparison 3rd party test to know explicits for sure.

As for my reaction I say it’s a job well done by ford as 2 of 3 years ago we were hearing the Bronco just to be another all wheel drive highway vehicle.

For those who have never used a front view or 360 camera, let me tell you.... they’re phenomenal. I have it on my current Raptor. Previous Raptor was front view only, but adding the 360 was a substantial improvement. Very easy to use... very easy to get used to... very accurate course projection guide lines. It’s a great option to have.... just sayin...
I’m sure it’s great but definitely no substitution for a skilled spotter.

Excuses? How is it an excuse? It's simply a statement along with the acknowledgement that Jeep would likely do the same thing, aka "as to be expected".

No one goes out intentionally making their product look bad.

Personally, I'd say the same....job well done. It remains to be seen how the IFS CVs and steering hold up over the long haul to 35" tires and a front locker.
It may not be you. Many on this forum have been stating the Bronco cat do this and that and that base JL can do tear up the badlands on “real” rocks and trails. The selective editing comments reminds me of, it could not do that obstacle but they make it look like it can.

Hence my memory of the classic Jeep commercial “we”ll lift it”. I’d be the first on to agree that ford took the easy way out. However, right now it looks as if they did not.

Cheers!
