I thought “Jeep people” weren’t so easily triggered, butthurt, and whiny. It’s just a joke; have a chuckle, enjoy your Jeep and chill out.

Some of us seem like that jilted boyfriend that can’t get over a breakup from years ago and are still fixated on their ex who’s moved on and has a new healthy relationship.
You thought wrong. ?

Pic taken here in San Antonio this weekend by a Jeep buddy from work. Quality not the highest due to being taken on the fly, but you get the gist. Seriously, Bronco guy? Sad, so sad... :CWL:

There's a guy out here in Addison Texas where I work a lot, has a TRX. His license plate says raptor killer, but you know in a shorter license plate version. I've tried to flag him down a few times at stop lights to tell him how much I like his license plate, but I think he probably just thinks I'm an angry driver and never opens his window. ?

Lol, i think it’s great. I think it will be funnier when someone snaps a shot of his ride broken down on the trail.

I need to make a T-shirt of a tie-rodded (SUV version of hamstrung?) Bronco like that. They’d sell like hotcakes in Moab.

half would be Bronco owners not realizing what they were looking at.

Yeah because jeep isn't doing the exact same thing

I've been on the forum through all of COVID and more, and I've been reading the threads on increasing Jeep prices, value, and resale market stability, so I know this can't be real.

?:CWL:

Yes, of course.

They're just vehicles, and this is all in good fun. We have two Jeeps and two Fords, a Raptor and a Mustang. I'm a 45+ year Wrangler owner, but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying Ford when it does something well. For me, the jury is out on the Bronco. I haven't driven one, and I think they look like a 1970s International Scout -- fugly -- so I've had no interest in buying one. I'm curious to see how they hold up with time.

As to pricing and availability, most of us old guys predicted the end of the COVID anomaly as soon as it started, while various younger forum members talked of plans of trading up to a newer Jeep every year -- because 18 months of ridiculous used vehicle pricing convinced them they'd always be able to sell their current jeep for more than they paid for it. All the old goats knew that vehicle manufacturers would do what they've always done: keep producing vehicles until the market softens, and then build even more until increasing incentives are necessary to move the inventory. When big incentives hit they always kill the used market, and it's a lasting impact.

The pictures below were taken at Roberson Jeep in Salem, Oregon last Saturday as we passed through on the way to the Evergreen Air Museum (which I highly recommend). The jeep market is softening plenty. I won't predict which manufacturer will overproduce more, but I'm hoping to see BIG factory rebate money on the right stripper sport 2-door with a manual transmission. With luck, we'll find just the right one to convince my wife to let go of her 2005 Mustang GT, which neither of us drive anymore.

The funniest part is knowing that they're gonna pay an extra $40+ on every plate renewal for at best a $1 joke.

Makes me glad that I spent more than a minute thinking about what I was willing to look at everyday, when I chose my vanity plate.

The big difference is that the Jeep broke after doing something stupid, whereas the bronco busted from a rut in the path.
Didn't realize you were there? Lol.
Weird that my Bronco hasn't broke from "ruts in the path". ?
