I am not exactly sure why I have that feeling. It may be because it just feels like a tank vs a pretty truck. I like the fun ride of the solid axles verses the smoother car like ride of the Bronco. The Bronco feels more closed in even with the top and doors off because the bodyside walls are taller. Even though the Bronco is bigger, I just feel like the Jeep is more solid. Even though the Bronco doors are like half doors because they do not have a frame which is cool, they are kinda flimsy and make a rattling noise. Removing a Jeep backseat is much easier and cleaner than the Bronco. Both have hard tops but the Bronco seems louder. My JL 2.0 turbo gets better gas mileage and I have bigger tires. I'm sure there are other things I just can't think of right now. I think the biggest thing is that when I get in my Jeep, I feel invincible, lol.
Always great hearing other's honest opinions who've driven both more than just a quick drive at a dealership. I also enjoy driving my Wrangler over the wife's Bronco, but I will say that, objectively speaking, you are WAY safer in the Bronco than the Wrangler in the event of a collision or rollover. But I get the feeling of safety. I feel like I have more control over the Jeep. The Bronco has a feeling of "I'm going to keep us driving straight whether you like it or not!"

The Bronco sport is unibody (from what I've read)... you're not safer. I've seen JL rollovers and the body held up much better than the JK's.

I don't think what you stated is accurate. I could be wrong, I would like to see the data.

I guess they call it the 'big bronco' ugh..

Does the new Bronco have a frame or is it a unibody?

The big Bronco uses body-on-frame construction, which means that it's essentially a pickup truck underneath. The Bronco Sport has what's called unibody construction, which makes its construction closer to that of a sedan or crossover SUV — in this case, the Escape crossover SUV, on which the Bronco Sport is based.Feb 18, 2022

The Bronco Sport is a glorified Ford Escape. We are talking full size Broncos which are built on the Ford Ranger platform. I just think the Jeep has had many years of working out the kinks and the Bronco has a long way to go.

Yeah been watching their channels.. it does seem to require some work.

And now the ranger raptor.. exciting but still no front e-locker from ford or toyo

Ya I'm not talking about Sports.... but if I was, it actually scores even higher safety ratings than the real Bronco, which equals or outperforms Wrangler in every category except for the head restraint category. It's important to note the collision categories, specifically the driver side overlap where the Wrangler did terrible, and the Bronco got top marks. All other categories are stuff like headlights and ease of use of seatbelts (not how good they work.... just how easy they are to use).

Bronco missed out on Top Safety Pick because of the head restraints.
Bronco Sport got Top Safety Pick.
Wrangler missed out on Top safety pick because it got a "poor" or "marginal" on multiple front end collision tests.

There's a good video showing the difference:

I have driven and ridden in both for a while now and for my own health and well being I would still choose a Jeep. The Jeep is definitely more capable and is more agile.
