Yes, the aftermarket LED offerings do light things up..
I'd also consider wiring it so they also just come on automatically with the backup lights too. So easy to do this. A couple of diodes and 15 min. more effort and it's done.
IF you are not into soldering diodes into the two lines as needed, you can get 2 plug and play diodes instead. I have ordered and will be using the ROADMASTER 690 Single Park Light Diode $11.00+- offering. Yes, more pricey then solder in diodes but probably more hardy, easier to install and yes, will do the job.
