  1. Battery Replacement Question for the Experts

For the last couple of days I’ve been running a repair charge cycle on my Odyssey battery and it seems to be recovering, although slowly. Before I started my battery’s resting voltage was 12.63. After the first repair cycle resting voltage was 12.75. Ran another repair cycle last night and...
  2. Battery Replacement Question for the Experts

I’m confused, because towards the end of her video she said trickle chargers with a float voltage of 13.5-13.8 will work to maintain a fully charged battery. So once my battery is charged, plugging it into the tricke charger/maintainer would work, no?
  3. Battery Replacement Question for the Experts

I hadn’t thought about just buying a second battery with the credit. My truck could use a new battery anyways. I borrowed a 15amp AGM smart charger from a neighbor this morning. I pulled the battery out of the Jeep and I’ll leave it on the charger for the weekend and see what happens. If I get...
  4. Battery Replacement Question for the Experts

Thanks. I didn’t realize their customer service was subpar at best. All I heard was how good the batteries are. Since I don’t have a charger big enough, I’m wondering if I can put the Odyssey battery in my truck when we take our Christmas road trip. A 2 hour drive in the truck might do it some...
  5. Battery Replacement Question for the Experts

I’m currently dealing with a dying Odyssey 94R battery that I purchased from FCP Euro in March of this year. I’ve had my Noco 5 on for a few weeks and doesn’t seem to have helped, but after reading through this I may need to try and get a better/bigger charger. I wanted to mention that FCP...
  6. Break Away Trickle Charging Cords

This is a good idea. This would be a good use for the 4XE cowl charge port cover.
  7. 3.6L ESS Aux Battery Bypass

I threw the Jeep on the charger again last night but decided to unhook the ground to see if there was power anywhere. Both the AUX battery and the main battery grounds were disconnected as seen in the picture. Why would I still have 10v on this pin? The battery itself was reading 12.4V.
  8. 3.6L ESS Aux Battery Bypass

I may have to leave the batteries on a tender since it’s not a daily driver. Hate to have to keep jumping it each time but now I’d be worried about the main batteries reliability once I get on the trails or even runing errands around town. It’s already died once (this morning it was at 10v) just...
  9. 3.6L ESS Aux Battery Bypass

Who has been doing running the longest with this bypass method? My 2019 original AUX battery started going bad about a year ago when I began seeing the message Aux switches unavailable while battery is charging. This obviously started to drain on my main battery. Tried to revive it but with...
  10. The Great Rock Slider Debate!

I ordered a set of TNT Custom’s sliders. Not sure when they’ll be here but I’ll post an update when they arrive and once they’re installed. Here’s a link to the sliders in the meantime. https://tntcustoms.com/product/jeep-jl-4-door-adventure-rock-sliders/
  11. The Great Rock Slider Debate!

I was browsing the White Knuckle Off-road site this evening and noticed they had a new option for the rub rail angle. Has anyone purchased the White Knuckle Sliders and selected the option “straight away from body for NO Rubicon rails installed”? Does this option change anything about the...
  12. New to market JLU Rock Sliders

I think they look great. I like the wheel to wheel coverage. Just wish someone I made a set that left the main tube angled like it is with the top plate bent so it’s flat for a better step and hide the pinch seam.
  13. JL Rubicon Bright White Owners Please Post Pics w/ Aftermarket wheels & Tires

I love them. What surprised me was the number of compliments I get about the wheels, even from non-Jeep people. Only thing I hate is the weight. They’re stupid heavy at 44lbs each.
  14. JL Rubicon Bright White Owners Please Post Pics w/ Aftermarket wheels & Tires

Switch the Dirty Life wheels over to beadlocks. The machines aluminum beadlock ring looks much better than the original black beauty ring.
  15. Tape on tailgate?

Get yourself some UHMW tape and tape it over the top edge of the tailgate. I’ve had this on for 2 years now and it’s as silent as I think my farts. 3M 5430 PTFE/UHMW Tape, 0.75" width x 5yd length (1 roll) https://a.co/d/6tMviRD
  16. The Great Rock Slider Debate!

I was dead set on getting Shrockwork sliders but obviously that’s out of the question now. I need coming back to Whitekunckle but I just wish the 90* version sat a little higher to cover the pinch seam better. Another brand I keep looking at is TNT Customs out of Wyoming. But haven’t found...
  17. Underhood Wiring Brackets - Gauging Interest

I believe I have a few left over from the first group buy. They’re buried somewhere in the house and never got unpacked when we moved. I’ll have to look for them.
  18. Jeep just updated website with HUGE price increases to the Wrangler options.

I haven’t kept up with pricing since I ordered my Jeep in 2019 but with the same options selected today, the MSRP has increased by $8,300. I’ve been saying since 2019, but my Jeep will probably be my last NEW vehicle ever. Pre-owned from here on out.
  19. Quick Poll II - Why Are You Not Taking Your Top Off? Hardtop/Soft Top/Freedom Tops??

My post didn’t age well. I now have a much bigger garage and 13 foot ceilings and have no desire to remove the top now. It’s to windy in Nebraska to drive without the top. I did with my old TJ and absolutely hated all the cross winds. With all the humidity we have in the summer I don’t care to...
  20. Badland Price Watch

I remember that. However If you googled the winch HF had it listed at $379 but $479 on the site. Showed the clerk the Google ad to adjust the price and with the coupon at the time I got it for $300 out the door.
