Only time mine will be folded down will be when I attempt to stop/minimize the wind noise coming from around, under and over it...

I for one wish the folding windshield would be an OPTION for those who really want it and the rest of us could enjoy our JL's without the added wind noise.

That's my thought also. For how few that probably drop the windshield , get rid of it.

Did to put ditch light brackets on, now cannot. I live in Vegas, dust bowl of the Southwest.

Just the freedom panels and found above 45MPH wasn't much fun do to turbulence.
I had an idea that somewhat solves this problem, or at least reduces it. Most of the wind seems to come through between the door and "sport bar", particularly at the rear of the door. You can check this with your hand while driving.

I bent a piece of sheetmetal to block the wind.

No. I did not puchase a JL for that feature. I have yet to pull the top or doors. Just the freedom panels and found above 45MPH wasn't much fun do to turbulence. I really enjoy the JL's comfort of heat and A/C after too many hours driving early CJ's and FJ's.
I have a hardtop. If you take the freedom panels (and/or doors) off you can leave the rear glass open and it eliminates turbulence.

Havent done it yet, plan to when we go to a drive in movie. Unobstructed view, no bug splat to hinder the experience

That's probably the only situation I'd bother with it.

Not legal in california.

Have not done offroad because id like to keep my teeth intact.
That's why I left California and came back home to Texas. Nearly everything that is worthwhile is either illegal, causes cancer, or just sucks in California.

I drop my windshield in my fantasies all the time. Once my Jeep arrives I plan on dropping it at least once a month.
