Thin skin, or just someone that likes to brawl? Pretty aggressive response.Looks like you're the one with issues...just meeting force with force. With no respect intended, GFY, I have enough friends.
Mine craps out significantly more frequently now that I've moved to the PNW. Apparently they have these things called "trees" here. How are we expected to see the magnificent views (and satellites!) when those pesky things keep getting in the way!My Sirius XM was great everywhere except the mountains. I would sometimes lose signal briefly. I never lost FM radio, old school, my go to.![]()
Can we not do this? It’s no different from bots posting.AI Overview
SiriusXM (formerly XM radio) can lose signal due to a few common reasons, including obstructions to the satellite signal, antenna issues, or problems with the receiver itself. Interference from weather, buildings, or even trees can block the signal. Antenna problems like damage, loose connections, or obstructions can also cause dropouts. Finally, software glitches or hardware malfunctions within the receiver can lead to signal loss.
Here's a more detailed look at the causes:
1. Satellite Signal Obstructions:
2. Antenna Issues:
- SiriusXM relies on signals from satellites in geostationary orbit, requiring a clear line of sight between the antenna and the satellite.
- Obstructions like buildings, trees, bridges, or even tunnels can temporarily block the signal, causing momentary dropouts.
- Areas with limited satellite coverage, like very rural locations or underground parking garages, can also experience signal loss.
- The antenna, typically mounted on the vehicle's roof or windshield, can be a source of problems.
- Damage to the antenna, such as cracks or breaks, can impede signal reception.
- Loose or corroded connections in the antenna cable can also cause signal loss.
- Dirt, debris, or snow on the antenna can further degrade signal quality.
The pattern I've noticed (after living in various places across the planet) is that the drivers in nearby areas outside of your current area are always perceived to be "the bad drivers".My experience is that most drivers from New Jersey suck...regardless of the vehicle they drive.
You took it personally that I insulted Subarus.Looks like you're the one with issues...just meeting force with force. With no respect intended, GFY, I have enough friends.

Except SoCal…all the bad drivers migrate to SoCal. That’s just a fact we learn to deal with. The pattern I've noticed (after living in various places across the planet) is that the drivers in nearby areas outside of your current area are always perceived to be "the bad drivers".
Unless you are proofreading and checking sources its very likely often wrong tooIt’s informative, and related to the subject.
No issues here.

Don't worry about wimpbino, he is apparently a lawyer and a bus driver with piss poor english skills and pisses on the American flag, F- him!Looks like you're the one with issues...just meeting force with force. With no respect intended, GFY, I have enough friends.
Still mad that I commented that the joke you laughed at about someone driving into a crowd was in bad taste?Don't worry about wimpbino, he is apparently a lawyer and a bus driver with piss poor english skills and pisses on the American flag, F- him!
You read it and tell me what's wrong...it seemed helpful.Unless you are proofreading and checking sources its very likely often wrong too
C’mon who amongst us hasn’t posted a joke here that someone would feel was in bad taste? Simmer down girls.Still mad that I commented that the joke you laughed at about someone driving into a crowd was in bad taste?
Now your insulting working people and our patriotism? You pushed pencils around.
you mentioned XM in the context of a reset but you also mentioned the antenna on the fender; as already relayed here multiple times, they are unrelated.I thought I mentioned…xm
XM reception is not great to start with. adding anything (like a roof liner that does not have a cut-out specifically for the XM antenna on top of the roll bar) just makes it worse, as would roof racks, RTTs, or anything else above that antenna.to clarify…the Sirius radio is cutting out. It’s usually on the same road in the same area. It lasts from a second o 20 seconds. No pattern on the timing.it doesn’t matter what station. But there are other roads that this problem occurs.
respondents were frustrated with your lack of being able to provide requested clarifying detail, not with your issue.it sounded like one of the respondents was getting frustrated with my issue and began cursing.
I’m sorry for that since cursing on this blog is prohibited.
if you're for real, it seems you've had a hard time understanding here; you didn't relay your question well and then didn't respond well to questions asking for clarification, don't seem to understand that XM reception sucks frequently, and are still looking elsewhere for a fix without having acknowledged any of the suggestions you've received regarding potential resolution of your (XM) issue. So I’m requesting that the discussion on this matter stop immediately. I’ll check further with Sirius and Jeep.
For all of you, I want to say thank you for all the suggestions and ideas. It’s unfortunate that a respondent felt the need to degrade the communication.
Have a great rest of the summer. I won’t be commenting on any further discussion.
