Are you saying you first purchased the JL version then switched to the JK? Do you have a pic down the side to match the JL version you posted above?
Correct. I had ordered both the JL and JK versions to see which fitment I liked most
Wrapped the JK Borahs(+4mm offset) in 37x12.5x17 KO2
Wrapped the JL Borahs(+25mm offset) in 315x70x17 KO2. These tires were actually wider than the 37's

As requested, JK Borahs(+4mm offset) in 37x12.5x17 KO2's

It seems they were pushed just as much with both set ups because the width of the 315's makes up for the 25mm offset on the JL Borah's. Maybe slightly more pushed out on the JK's but not by much

I ran the Borahs on my JK with no ring and with protection ring. The protection ring is something you'll absolutely want if you do serious wheeling. That section of the wheel sticks out far enough that if your tire gets shoved into a bank you're making contact there pretty quick. Ruined a wheel without the protection ring before I wised up. IMO, the config without protection ring is street duty or gravel roads only.
Damn, that's what I was beginning to think. Thanks. That's another half a grand gone!

Damn, that's really torn up. I'm thinking that the protective ring wouldn't have stopped that outer scraping.
Totally does - pic below is my JK with the ring installed, covers that whole area. Bolts held up well to being rubbed against rock, too, thankfully. Ring does get scraped up though, but it's basically a wheel skid in reality, so a sacrificial part.

Thank you... I have KMC Grenade beadlocks now and I was just going to mount those on the JL but this vehicle will be driven more daily and by my wife. I think I want to do something less aggressive than what was on the Gladiator and will hopefully track a bit better. Plus, we moved north from CA and it rains here.... ALOT. So I don't want her throwing up a bunch of water as she scoots down the freeway.

Got my Borahs on 315s. No lift just shocks and a fender trim up front.

Actually, not mad at that... shows your getting after it!
I was mad enough for the both of us lol. It was a line I should've done different but goosed it anyway. Oh well, was a good day on the trail anyway.

Decided to go back to the JL spec Borahs but went with 35 inch Ridge Grapplers

I also finally added the rash rings that I had painted black a couple of months ago and added black bolts and washers instead of the supplied silver AEV ones thanks to @woodlift in this thread :fist bump:

Again, cannot thank you all enough who posted in this thread. Really helped me decide which direction to go. Hoping these pics help the next person with their next wheel setup

Looks awesome. Not my Jeep but if you ask me I personally prefer the slightly more tucked look that the JL offset wheels offer over that of the JK spec. There is still poke but it looks refined.

Thanks for sharing. You have reinforced my decision to get these wheels for myself someday in the future.

Thanks Tim! Agreed. It was a tough call but I leaned more toward the JL spec ones. Post some photos when you get yours :jk:

Anyone in this thread with a bright white Rubicon and the bronze Borahs? I’ve narrowed down my list and these wheels are near the top. I feel like the bronze would look bad ass against the white paint with red accents.
