I didn’t use the procal for about two weeks after I put the lift on (stupid me). It made a world of a difference. My speedometer was off by 6mph. The shifting points were all screwed up. I’m just leaving the tpms for now. Can’t justify buying a Tazer just to get rid of that little light. Too many other things to spend money on.
I did all of the steering components because steering stability was on top of my list. The Jeep is my wife’s daily, our family car and my kids are in it everyday. I was hoping steersmarts would of come out with a rear adjustable track bar already. I can get a Synergy, Metalcloak, etc., but would like to keep all the steering components the same brand.

Lift is great. Ride is a touch stiffer than stock but still rides smooth. Can’t get the procal to work though. Very happy with the AEV Borah wheels. Needed tires that preform in snow and ice so went with 37” KO2, which measure about 35.5”. Very little loss of power with the larger tires. No complaints.

That looks great! What color are those Borahs? Onyx, satin or galaxy black?

Question for people that installed the 2.5" AEV Dualsport RT JL lift themselves (I installed on a 2019 JLRU). After installation, and about 10 mi, I got a traction control light (ETC) and then a few miles later transmission light turn on. The instructions state to have a professional alignment done after the install. The steering wheel is also canted about 45 degrees to the left. I'm pretty sure the traction control light is a function of the lift and the alignment will fix. Did anyone else get a transmission light? I have a scheduled alignment but thought I'd ask to see what others experienced. Thanks.

A few things, have you installed larger tires and have you re-calibrated the computer for the larger tire size? That may be what's tripping the computer up if you have not done this already.

If you didn't recenter your steering wheel, that can and will throw things off with the computer and trip various codes. I'm guessing the AEV kit retains the factory drag link, or uses an OEM style replacement drag link. To adjust and recenter your steering wheel, locate your drag link (it will run from the steering knuckle on the right up to the pitman arm on left side frame) loosen the two bolts on the collar connecting the two ends of the drag link and twist it either forward or back to move it left or right. This task is easiest if you have a 2nd body to act as a spotter in the cab, however it can be done if you're by yourself. If by yourself, eye ball where center is currently pointing and mark it with masking tape. give the drag link collar a few turns, pause and check make sure it's moving in the direction you want it, then continue until you get it centered, then re-tighten the collar bolts. That should hopefully help with one of the issues as the vehicle will no longer think it's trying to dive to left or the right.

I had this same problem due to another issue. It's caused by the steering wheel not being centered properly. It's a pretty easy fix...just recenter it by adjusting the drag link. Then drive for a while and the lights will clear.

Here is a good set of instructions and an explanation of what you are experiencing.

I hope this helps! Enjoy the lift.

Thanks all. I haven't swapped tires yet, still running the stock wheels and BFGs. I'll post a response once aligned just to give other folks the heads up. Here are the before and after pictures btw. I'm measuring 4.25" lift in the rear and 3" in the front. Wondering if it will settle (hoping).

The alignment should fix it. This is a pretty common problem if you do the lift yourself and don't know to adjust the drag link (at least until final alignment can be done). Just note that once the alignment is complete, you will have to drive around for a little bit until all of the errors clear.

That's a lot of extra lift. Looks like it's time for a winch, tire carrier, heavier tiers, and HD step sliders to weigh it all down. LOL. ;)

I actually have a 12000lb winch on it and am guessing that’s why I’m getting only 3” in the front.

Wow. Then that's a lot of lift. Fingers crossed that it settles a bit for you. Looks good though. Have fun!

Update: Alignment fixed both lights as folks here stated. I let the pros at Firestone do the honors, plus they were running a lifetime alignment special on new years day for 50% off. Thanks for the help with this. So far, loving the lift.

Hi All, I'm also between the AEV 2.5" lift vs the Dynatrac Endurosport 2" lift. I have added about 550 lbs of modifications already and I'm a bit concerned if the Dynatrac Endurosport 2" lift will sag or bottom out when I go off-roading. In the other hand, I like that the AEV 2.5" lift kit is designed to carry more weight but I'm concerned with some of the comments regarding 3 - 3.5" of actual lift and not 2.5". With my 35s (no future plans to upgrade to 37s) I have concerns that the gap may be too much.

Can anyone that has this lift installed for a few months please provide any updates? Did the springs set? Much appreciated.
