Thanks! 😃👍
In August I want to do Black Bear Pass so I need to save for gas 😁 Around 3000 miles, 15 tanks of gas probably.

Good luck! If you really want Black Bear, I'll suggest paying attention to the forest service site showing when they open it and then go there that day. Last year they opened it, two forum members came to town from CA and MN and we ran it. Two days after we ran it, they shut it down again. It's an iconic trail that gets shut down a lot, not really difficult but a lot of exposure if you make a mistake. Beautiful to see in person though, I was giddy the whole time trying to maintain my composure and cool and not act like a giddy school girl. I'm a dork.

If it's still open in August and you come this way, I'd be down to come out there again. That area is really beautiful, I love being there.

To be fair, I bought the 4 banger for three reasons:

1) I'm at elevation in CO and I guess a turbo sucks up that thin air better to keep performance up.
2) Better fuel economy - I know, shopping based on fuel economy for a Jeep is a bit silly, especially when I lift it and run 37s. However, getting 20-21mpg in the summer driving 60mpg on a lifted Jeep with 37s, back and forth to work, is pretty cool.
3) I'm a poor peasant and it was cheaper.

Thank you. Sorry forgot to mention. Im new to this page. Seems to be a touchy subject around here 😂
Don't worry about asking questions, I believe that is what this forum is for. Sometimes people should just pass by a thread but instead feel the need to show how smart they are or annoyed at having to see the same question. Don't forget that everyone was new to the scene at some point.

Don't you CA people just want a Prius?

Definitely get a Prius. Jeeps are scary like guns, they can roll over and kill people all by themselves! 😳
I see you have a Rubicon. Where is that again?

My understanding is Black Bear pass is closed right now and will be for most of 2025 even.

Um, no it's not.
If the Prius is legendary what does that make Jeep?

Just for the record I'm not saying prius is legendary because it's most definitely not. I think it's about the dumbest thing ever.

Guys, love it or hate it but the Prius is a legendary name plate. The new one is pretty cool 🤩

I would drive that. If I ever got a job that required in office and it was far from home, I'd buy something like that.
