Ohh, I don't know if I'm willing to go that extreme.

Exactly, people spend thousands $$$ on aftermarket bumpers, winch, new tires alone. It would all be a total loss. ?I for one greatly appreciate these ideas.
a hood lock and obd lock are not going to bother the wife.
possibly not even a kill switch. Pretty basic and easy to live with. Only the service guy would be inconvenienced. Either slow them down or get them to move to an easier target.
As another poster correctly said, its not as much the loss of the jeep, its all the mods and hours of installation that the insurance company will not reimburse you for!
Are they for sale? Or did you amend the entire vehicle harness?I make my own start button bypass harness, basically it disables the start button until kill switch is flipped.

I've sold a few hundred on TRX forum, PM me if you are interested. Plug n play solution, you just need your own toggle switchAre they for sale? Or did you amend the entire vehicle harness?![]()
I don't spend that much on my Jeep, but if you do there's "Modified car insurance." Get those thousands back when it's stolen.Exactly, people spend thousands $$$ on aftermarket bumpers, winch, new tires alone. It would all be a total loss. ?

See, this is a great example of why this is worth talking about, I didn't think about that, good idea. I actually pay a lot of $$$$ in car insurance (4 vehicles and looking at #5) so it's not like I want to increase it, but I think it's worth a call or email to my agent anyway. I might be looking at it a little differently too " Get those thousands back (if) it's stolen. ?I don't spend that much on my Jeep, but if you do there's "Modified car insurance." What you posted is an interesting product, but easy to spot and defeat.

Another reason some people buy them pre-built by AEV.Exactly, people spend thousands $$$ on aftermarket bumpers, winch, new tires alone. It would all be a total loss. ?
I think Hagerty does this for collector cars too, antiques, rare etc.See, this is a great example of why this is worth talking about, I didn't think about that, good idea. I wonder if I would have to get my jeep appraised for added insurance, I'm thinking yes.
Thank you, my friend.
