JL kill switch

Looking for the best place to wire in a kill switch. I know there are kits but I prefer a diy. Is there a clutch relay or fuel pump relay I can tie a toggle into? I’ve heard of people doing the starter but I own a manual and don’t want someone to be able to do a roll start. I also have heard that there is no ASD relay in the new 2018’s+. Is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am interested in the same.
I was running the common starter "plug and play" relay with a toggle switch that was previously touted on the forum. I've always had poor luck with aftermarket relay solutions and this one after 2 years of use added to that track record. Started having instances of Service Auto Stop Start for no reason pop up when driving and finally 4 weeks later a no start situation when out and about. Second attempt to start began a starter cool down countdown clock. That is when I put 2 and 2 together and yanked the kill switch relay and replaced it with the OEM starter relay that the kill switch install instructions warned to keep handy just in case. Well, they were right. Back to stock, starts ever time, and no service auto stop start issues. Need a better kill switch solution.

Caveat: I've never had a kill switch in a vehicle. That out of the way, since all the new vehicles use electric fuel pumps, wouldn't having a switch in the power to the pump be the simple solution? Or a power interrupt switch from the push to start?

Pretty sure if the kill switch is cutting off the fuel pump that any attempt to start would trigger a bunch of codes in these finicky beasts. Which who cares if it stops a thief on an attempted theft, but I admit I have on a few occasions forgotten to first hit my kill switch and had a failed start.

@maestro5531 has an option it drops the stop/start/ignition switch from working. And its looks faftory. you just install the jumper and your own switch to a location you desire.

@maestro5531 has an option it drops the stop/start/ignition switch from working. And its looks faftory. you just install the jumper and your own switch to a location you desire.

I can neither confirm nor deny that I have bought and installed this, but based on my possible experience with this unit, it looks factory and works perfectly. Or not. But does. Maybe.

What do you mean? Like is there a way to hack it? I am not sure if we are talking about the same device.

the one I have, once you set the lockdown feature your jeep is limped when someone tries to steal it.

Ya, sorry to burst that bubble. It will stop a joy rider, but thats about it. Its not a serious deterrent.
