I would say they all have excessive weight to balance. But I don’t know what defines “excessive” in the large tire Jeep world. I remember on sedans, like 1 or 2 small weights be my wheels…..I’ve never seen weights stacked before.

And this is why you use balancing beads.

No regrets. Love them. I think they're the perfect size in terms of looks, 40s look good, but not as good IMO.

I went to 37’s right away on my JKU and eventually 40’s. Going to 37’s next week on my JLUD that I picked up this week. I’m positive there will be no regrets. Not even a single letter.

I do. There is a different valve stem core that comes with the balancing beads.
Ted, how much weight do you run in beads? I wouldn’t think it would matter if you ran a little too much as id think the unleaded would just spread out evenly when spinning?

Curious, I’m tired of the balancing game.

I would suggest that, especially the wheel with the stacked weights, maybe could benefit from breaking tire from rim and rotating and re-balancing. A Hunter Road Force balancing machine will tell you this.
If tires are not defective, again may want to have them trued. Hard to watch as they grind-cut off tread in order to make tire round. But it works.
I had a set of 40” Mickey Thompson ATZ’s trued, on my diesel truck… really helped smooth the ride.

I run 14 oz of balancing beads. You can probably run 12 oz too. I just run the extra weight, because I know that I will most likely rip chunks of rubber out of the tread.sometime during the life of the tire.

Thanks to Pritchett canyon In Moab.

I'm running a Teraflex 3.5" lift with 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers, and mine drives like it was stock. I DD it every day and manage high 18s for MPGs. I did regear to 5:38 after talking to the guys at Yukon, and I don't regret it. I've wheeled Moab, Deadwood, and around Blanding, UT, and it's done everything my driving skills allowed. ;) Plus, it looks freakin' awesome in the parking lot!
My 392 goes in tomorrow for the Teraflex 3.5 Rt3/Falcon 3.3s and 37 Ridge Grapplers. Post a picture of yours.

My only regret is I'm still rocking the stock 35's and have not added 37's.

That's right, I have seen it before. A new 392 showed up to our Jeep Clubs last run and kept parking beside me to make me feel little. It amazed me how much bigger her 392 was with 37s and a 3.5" lift. They just look perfect with that combo.

I ran with a guy this summer in a Gladiator with 40s and a 4.5 lift. That sucker was massive! I really have no desire to go that big. I like my 18.7 MPGs as a daily driver, and I can climb about anything that my skills will handle.
