Jerry, I thought you had an update done and were happier. Or did it just do it's thing and run good for a few trips and then rear its ugly head again?

Mine has been a tad better on its own but still annoying as all get-out; and as you say, STILL the worst-running car I have ever owned!. And yeah, that man on the moon? That was fifty years ago, too! I am beginning to wonder whether they could even do again! I hope FCA doesn't build the rocket!

Can you share dealer code for update please?

Moving on up .....
I had this update done a few weeks ago which addresses the throttle surge and the fan blower speed issues. Made things much better.

Amen, brother on FCA building the rocket, Tha t made me laugh out loud. Yea, it was better for couple days, then all came back. just so frustrating that they give you all this lip service and do nothing to solve the issue. I honestly don't think they care. No doubt they know what the problem is, for gods sake we been mfg. auto for over 120 years. I believe now it has something to do with emmissions and mileage figures. I'm at the point probably just going trade it in before it blows up or lurches in front of a semi.

Good luck with yours Bill

I've seen a few folks in this thread mention that they had an update done, and it solved the issue, however every time someone has asked for the update/dealer code, I'm not seeing a response, unless it's via private message.

I've definitely been having the issue, made more noticeable in 4L and while crawling, and it's led to a couple of dangerous situations, in Moab, where I had a sudden surge, reduced gas, and then lost momentum, and had to carefully back down from a pretty serious incline. I took off my pedal commander, because that actually enhanced the issue.

So if anyone really did solve the issue, it would be nice to know what that dealer code/update is, because I'd love to be able to take it in, and see if I can't get it fixed.

Thanks, and cheers!

You can help by telling dealers to quit just saying “it’s a Jeep thing”

My 19 Rubi with 8.4 does not show hill assist ?
Sorry I don't know the code for the fix but I will share my surging experience with everyone.
My 19 Rubicon had no problems when delivered from the dealer and fine driving around my home town (Ft. Worth, Tx.) so after about 550 miles I decided to drive it to Houston,Tx. while working there. After a few days there it developed the surge problem, I first thought maybe bad fuel so tried different fuel stations with no luck. I came to the JL forum and found out that it was an issue. A month later I was back in Ft. Worth and scheduled an appointment with my dealer assuming it needed the updated program, When I got back to Ft. Worth the surging was no longer there but took it in to see what they could find. I told the dealer that there should be an updated program for the surging. The Dealer confirmed that it had the latest program on the ECM , The service manager and I drove it around for about 30 min. an confirmed that there was no surging and did not have an explanation for it happening in Houston.
I drove it back to Houston several days later with the same results. Surging a day or two after arriving there just as before and not appearing back in Ft. worth. I am now in Sedona, AZ. with no problems. I think my problem was related to very high humidity / sea level operation. Every morning in Houston the jeep would be covered with condensation and the engine would be wet. I surmised that a air intake temp. sensor was getting wet or BAP sensor off at sea level. Long story short no problems now !

I have a 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Sport S 3.6 liter automatic.

As other have stated, mid range mph 30-50 with a steady throttle the vehicle every 5 seconds or so acts like a misfire with any backfire or warning lights being tripped.

Obviously, I am not the only one, has anyone had this problem resolved?

I would much prefer to go to the dealer with a solution than have them tell me they cannot find a problem.

You were having the same steady state throttle issues and this reflash resolved it?

I would not describe mine as steady. It was intermittent, only with A/C on, and never while moving. It occurred at stops. The flash stopped it. My VIN was included in the applicable vehicles.
