As for high VA tax.... don't see it in the prices.

I'm guessing you're not looking. Here are the details for the fuel tax you're paying: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/businesses/tax-act/fuels/tax-rates. VA has the 9th highest fuel tax in the county.

Then VA adds another 9 cents of sales tax.
