You made the right choice. I still wouldn't touch one of those with the proverbial 10' pole until they get their laundry list of issues ironed out. It would be nice if parts were available too.

I agree. I don’t regret my choice at all, but I would love to have both. Made it 6 months without a Jeep in my life (had a Tacoma) and that was 6 months too long!

I just found out I can still order a 2022 Willys Unlimited but cannot get the dual top group. Its either a soft top or hard top. Given its so close to 2023 orders opening up, I am leaning toward waiting to order. I know the prices will go up…thats happening routinely on everything. But what meaningful changes can we expect in 2023 if any? Thank you

I was going to order mine with just a soft top, after waffling for a few months I ended up with a hard top intending to buy a soft top later. I've been running with the freedom panels off and a set of tube doors, I don't "need" the soft top like I thought I would. I'll still probably pick one up eventually but I'm in no rush now. From 21 to 22 there were a few extras added to each model with minimal price increase, maybe 22 - 23 will be similar. I'm glad I waited for the 22 over the 21.

I ordered my JLU in January, was told 20 to 24 weeks. I thought I'd have a few months to sell my old YJ, clean it up etc., got an email from Stelllantis 3 weeks in, said it was built. Long story short, sold the YJ almost immediately and was Jeepless for almost 3 weeks. I don't know how you made it 6 months, haha.

I just recalculated the 392 I have on order for 2022 vs 2023 and came up with about $2500 increase but the Jeep site is not showing the XR package.

That’s correct. And if you were buying at a percentage off of Invoice then you can add about another $2500. Base invoice went up about $4800ish ?

If you have your order in your price should be secure, even if it gets set to a '23. The price increase shouldn't effect existing orders that are converted.

We haven't seen any evidence of that. The speculation was that they'd all have automatic emergency braking to meet the new safety guidelines.

Oh I know, but earlier order typically makes it more likely. Nothing is guaranteed though. I reserved a Bronco July 15, 2020, waited 611 days, then decided to order a Jeep. Took 48 days.

Posted a full timeline with major milestones here.

Order was placed 12/6/2021 and arrived at the dealer 1/23/2022.

Last year was a bit different as I believe order banks didn’t open until much later and production didn’t start until a week or two after I placed my order. A lot of it is luck of the draw!
