Maybe a nomex fire retardant suit you can don when you fuel the jeep? The possibilities are endless — and they're all expensive.
Don't be silly. Only the manual transmission will come with the nomex fire suit!

If you have your order in your price should be secure, even if it gets set to a '23. The price increase shouldn't effect existing orders that are converted.
Actually, mine did get converted and the dealer told me that I had no price protection on the vehicle, just on the rebates and loan rates. Then, a day later, Jeep called me and told me just the opposite. Dishonest dealer...I cancelled and ordered 2023 via another dealer.

A lot of people recommending to wait, when 2023 is similar to 2022 in almost every way, except price. I hope OP didn't wait, otherwise they'd be paying more for the same.

It really depends on build/options. I went to the dealer to put an order in back in July for a Willys Sport. The 23s had just gone live so I ended up saving a $1000 because AC was now standard where as it was optional on the 22s and cost $1400. So even though the base price of the vehicle went up, net price of a 23 was lower than a 22. So never say never.

Not sure if they publish anything like that.

Afaik, the only changes I'm aware of have been minor.. the addition of the metal crash beam/bracket to the front passenger's side wheel well, the new US flag decal beside the side Wrangler decal, the 3.6L now getting the 6K redline gauge cluster from the 2.0T (still has a 6,500RPM redline irl), and the Rubicon now getting the orange gauge cluster instead of the red accented one. There's also the deletion of the secondary lighting wheel for footwell lighting, but not sure if that was changed in '23 or '22 (some of the later '22s also had the new crash beam) and deletion of the 3.6L engine cover (also effected some late '22s).

There's also some minor ordering changes that effect pricing more than anything, like the Rubicon now getting the 4xe wheel as standard, while charging extra for the original '22 Rubicon wheel.

Ultimately, most changes have been annoying penny-pinching measures that probably saved Stellantis $20 per customer, while the consumer's price increased by thousands.

thanks. Was hoping they would find a way to add 360 camera system or something interesting. Or bring back punkn. It’s on their site but doesn’t look like you can order it for a 22 or a 23.

Punk’n is now available as a color - I think it is a limited run just for the next couple months

I noticed that the footwell lighting wheel was eliminated, I liked that option. I have a gang plug in my 12 volt outlet on the dash. On the 2019 it would hit my knee, on this 23 it does not. So it appears that might have been raised slightly or the entire dash perhaps was modified?

To be clear: you haven't been able to order a 22 for a few months.

The dimming for the footwell lighting is still there, it's just now controlled by the other wheel that dims the rest of the interior lighting (gauges, uConnect, dash/door buttons, cupholders. etc).

I intensely dislike the current wheel for other reasons (using the headlight/DRL 24-7 or the auto-on headlight sensor, you'll need to adjust that stupid wheel multiple times a day, otherwise the gauges/screen are too bright or too dim), but for dome and ambient lighting it seems fine, though imo none of the dash button or footwell lights are bright enough to ever need to be dimmed or turned off for any reason.

Recurrent price increases for the Wrangler have been observed during the course of a single model year. The vehicle's pricing is constantly in flux, subject to increases even between the order date and when the vehicle is delivered to the selling dealer.

Case in point, I ordered on 10/24 and on I believe 10/28 there was an almost $2k price hike

I avoided that one, fortunately, as I had the price protection.
