Today, I received a call from my dealer regarding my order which was placed in April. The 392 was ready to be build but they just shut down builds for 2022 given there are no more HEMI engines allotted for 2022s. So, I was presented with the opportunity to take a 2023 and also to be able to now add the XR package. I did lose my tan soft top, which would have gone well with the white jeep, but that's a minor thing.
I'm hoping the 2023 does not have that small grill which was on the mockup someone posted here. But more importantly, will I get stuck with the price increase? When I asked my dealer, he told me that the price protection applies only to options and rebates. Any further information would be appreciated regarding that issue. Thanks
