I just got luckyish with this order timing, but still sucks as I have been without a 4x4 since I sold my 2020 in October.

Hoping for some more color choices in 2022. Would really like them to switch the green offering to the JK Tank green or even the JT Gator green. Those are both real nice and would get me to trade my 19 for a 22. I am intrigued by a possible 35" tire option. Wonder if they'll include 4.56 gears in that package.
Gator green. Please!!!!! I would order one ASAP!

Yeah I can order a 21 as well but I really wanted a 22. Might just do the fair app till then. Hmmm...

I sold mine this past December, I’m ready to get out of D status too!

Yep. I’ll gamble to see if I can do a 22 or 21. I’m getting impatient.
Yeah I'll make a tough decision on what I am doing once I hear for sure you cannot order 2022's until September. Hopefully Jeep will give us official news soon. Even if it is postponed, I would like to know sooner than later.

Although different vehicles, they’ve started to release 2022’s of two things - grand Cherokee and wagoneer I think. I’d find it interesting for them to postpone the wrangler but maybe.

I got offered a stupid deal on my HD truck so I’ll give it another week and then order.

Now trying to just decide do I do tons, 42’s,
Coil overs on a JLU or a Gladiator!

In normal times, I'd encourage anyone to consider waiting for the next model year if they still haven't ordered by the time summer rolls around. For a couple of month wait you'd get a 1 year newer MY which would save you one year of depreciation, have the latest options, etc.

But frankly with how the last year has gone, and the big price increases we've seen on everything from houses, lumber, & used cars to availability issues with everything from toilet paper to computer chips, it's a crap shoot.

Maybe you could get more options for your money now, and great residuals if they increase prices significantly on 2022's. If you wait and prices increase, you can't go back in time. Or maybe prices hold and you'd benefit from waiting. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you have pictures of a jl in gecko? I don't see gecko on the website and the dealer didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for gecko

I might be in for the long haul. As much as I don't want to. I just don't want to be kicking myself later. I wish they would just tell us when it would be released.

If Jeep is delaying the 2022 until late 2021, I would think that it is a higher chance that 2022 will be refreshed model.
On the Mopar Insiders site, which is typically fairly accurate, they've said many times that the 2023 model year is the "mid-cycle refresh" year for a lot of Stellantis product, including JL Wrangler. I would not expect anything new for 2022 except two new colors ("Earl" being one of them probably) and maybe another trim package with a different combo of the same content.

This 100% which is why I went ahead and ordered now. 2022 is going to have no new content and big pricing increases, so why wait? There is no reason to wait.

Plus, if you have a trade-in, NOW is the time to get the biggest amount of money for it that you'll ever see.

Bingo. I don’t understand why some in this thread were expecting this to be a huge feature change year. Manufacturing is in chaos and it doesn’t take much other than looking at any business news source to know this isn’t going to be a normal year.

Even in normal years, a like for like Rubicon that had an MSRP around $55,500 in 2018 is already over $60k as a 2021. That’s with ZERO new content or additional options. Why anyone would wait when the price of materials is going up and up and up is beyond me. It’s already a given the prices are going to increase in 2022. It’s just a matter of by how much.

This is where I'm at. I could easily hold out for a while, but I've got cash offers for my '07 GMC Sierra that has 203K miles on it that aren't going to last much longer. I've been planning to sell the truck for cash (not trade) and use that to do my first set of mods (bumpers, steps, tires/lift). If I wait, I might get a better deal on the Jeep but I definitely won't get a better offer on that truck, lol.

Gonna sit tight till after 4th of July and then order, most likely.
