The 2022 2.0L turbo will get you a free electronic sway bar disconnect on non-Rubicon models if you take it to Fort Collins Jeep service department.
Wait what?

Sort of, kinda retired....mostly
I have owned an early '21 JLR (Aug'20 build) and a late '21 JLR build (Oct '21 build) and have found a number of differences. See my post history for why I owned both. The Dana 44 front axle is improved. The motor mounts are upgraded. Plus several more minor mods. Do your research.

I swapped a 2018 Rubicon for a 2021 model last summer because the terms were so attractive.

- The 2021/2022 JLRs now offer 4W Auto as an option. This comes in handy in the Northeast when conditions are mixed.
- Enhanced safety is a newer feature that wasn’t offered on earlier models, which only had basic safety.
- As others already mentioned the 2.0 no longer includes eTorque; I actually like the 2021 better, without eTorque.
- The half doors are also new.
- Different color choices of course, and a couple of other cosmetic things like options for leather seats.

Overall nothing major. But for the time being, as many have pointed out, buying new is ironically the smarter move if you can wait a couple of months for your build. I know it goes against the grain as we’ve all been taught that it’s smarter to buy used —- but 2021/2022 is the exception to that rule. So you might as well take advantage of these unusual times, have fun building exactly the Jeep you want, and get it with zero miles and a full warranty. :like::dance:

Does anyone know of an easy to read chart or site that allows me to compare the differences between model years 2020 and 2021.
The Jeep web site uploads a brochure every year with the details.
If you search you might be able to find older ones.
Then open a spread sheet and list all the details side by side in columns.

Pretty minor, but didn't they add something that honked the horn when you hit the desired air pressure while airing up in '21? I remember reading about it after getting my '20.

in the 21s they also started offering Select Speed Control vs Hill Descent Control (only in 2.0s, 3.6s, no "offroad cruise control" for you).

Also Tire Fill Alert I think but that didn't last long

Select tire fill alert. It's on my 2021
I also have it, but it's not on all '21 models. Chip shortages and all. There was a thread about here, but I can't find it at the moment.

Read about it in your owner's manual. Offroad+ does different things depending on which mode of 4WD you are in. Supposedly it kind of makes 4LO more... 4LO-ey, and 4Hi more... 4Hi-ey. Changes pedal response, power distribution, stuff like that. It's in the manual. I read it a while back. Now I forget the deets.

Mustang GT but wanting to add a Jeep to my stable
Another vote for buying new. I started looking for used Rubicons last summer and the prices were nutso. I decided to order through Granger, IA at 4% below invoice when the 22 model was announced and saved thousands over 2019 used with 50k miles. Plus I got to order exactly what I wanted. The only downside was Punkn wasn't available but I snuck in a Snazzberry before they took that color away too.

And for those watching the Prices thread... I just wanted to point out that this comment is using 2 spaces after each period. I refuse to join the one space cult! :)
