Does anyone know of an easy to read chart or site that allows me to compare the differences between model years 2020 and 2021. Specifically trying to compare 2020 Saharas and Rubicons Unlimted vs 2021 / 2022
Tried Google = watched a number of Youtube walkarounds but there's gotta be a better way.

Trying to decide if I want to order new at below invoice pricing or find something with my needs off a lot. Available 2021s seem to be more expensive than ordering new but there are some reasonable deals on 2020s which might be worth saving a few $$ and using the extra cash for mods

Any help greatly appreciated

Aside from color availability and certain features becoming standard, there is almost no difference between those model years. We’re talking super minor stuff, like removing the diff drain plug summer 2021 or making the 8.4” standard on Rubicons for 2022. The XR package also became available, but I wouldn’t really call that a difference since it’s obvious if you’re looking at an XR Jeep or not.

I wished there was. I know a biggie was the steering box getting changed from aluminum to steel to improve steering response. The minor things I wouldn't care too much about, but there have been some larger changes.

Wrangler changelog? :)

Grab an ordering guide from each year and compare line-by-line. They are all posted on these forums.

They dropped eTorque from 2.0 for '21 and added eTorque to the 3.6. Advanced safety group has auto-dim high beam headlamp control for Jeeps built Jan '21 and later although this can be enabled with JSCAN, Tazer, AlphaOBD, etc. for earlier builds.

They're basically the same. Assuming you have the time, building a '22 is 100% going to be a better (and cheaper) decision.

You'd be lucky to get an on-the-lot Wrangler for sticker right now, whereas you can easily order one for ~7-10% below sticker from any number of dealers. If you're shopping for Sahara/Rubicon, that 7-10% could easily be several thousand $$$.

Also factor in the fact that a 2020 is already 2 years into its 3 year warranty. Unless you're saving $10K+ or need a vehicle like, NOW, you would 100% be better off ordering a '22 vs buying a '21/'20.

Valid point on the warranty - I've seen various %s off Invoice but haven't seen 7-10% unless there are a bunch of stipulations. If someone wants to offer me that, happy to listen :)

Front Trail Camera was added for 2021, the 4.88 axle gears was added for 2022. The 8.4" radio/nav display became standard on Rubicons for 2022 also.

From 20 - 21
20 - 2.0 has etorque
21 - 2.0 has no etorque
21 - 4xe with 2.0 and plugin electric hybrid motor

The only other difference difference in features between 20 and 21 that I can think of is the front trail cam ('21 and later feature) and off-road plus mode on Rubicons ('21 and later feature).
'20 models do have auto high beams from the factory with the advanced safety group. (I have it in mine)

Other differences are manufacturing differences like no diff drain plugs

Here in Canada. The warranty clock doesn't start ticking while the vehicle is brand new and never "owned", as soon as it's registered, it starts ticking. Not the same in the US?
It is the same here in the US. The poster was talking about purchasing a pre-owned Jeep.

The 2022 2.0L turbo will get you a free electronic sway bar disconnect on non-Rubicon models if you take it to Fort Collins Jeep service department.

Good luck finding used cheaper than new. I bought my 22 a month a go. All the comparable 20 or 21's with relatively low mileage that i found were more expensive that my 22 brand new.
