Well for every highly unusual case like above there are a thousand that have had none or very minor issues. I've had a turbo three and a half years and have never had a single...not one single....glitch.
This is true. I am only speaking on my series of events. I sincerely would not wish my Jeep troubles on anyone.

Don’t do it!!! Okay, the 2.0L is the least reliable engine in the history of Jeep. It constantly breaks down, it overheats all the time, it misfires frequently, it is a ticking time bomb. Go buy a ford escort.
No evidence to support your conjecture. The Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44 has hundreds of followers because the problem seems to occur on 5-10% of early models and maybe 5% of current models.

When the Jeep has a failure, it's reported. Not many reports of 2.0 constant break downs, especially compared to the Potting issue.

I agree, these statements don’t help anyone. It’s absolutely not the least reliable motor, and stating stuff like that can genuinely make people shy away from jeeps or engines that are wonderful. I’ve owned a lot of cars in my years and had the opportunity to try a bunch of different cars every couple years plus having my own business I put 100k every 2 years on my trucks so for resale I’m getting new ones constantly trying different motors etc , ive had 5 jeeps (not crazy mechanically inclined) now and I’ve never broke down once in my life in ANY vehicle because I’ve checked everything when I get a new vehicle, I always researched about what I’m getting and found Info (like checking the 2.0 turbo bolts for torque when you buy a 2.0) and done the highest level of maintenance no matter the cost and like I said I’ve never ever broke down. And I tow and off-road and heavy pedal everything I own like I stole it. In arizona. 118 degrees. This proves nothing but to me it shows that the influence of the users efforts towards maintenance and longevity greatly impacts these issues we hear about on here. I’ve even had multiple triton v8 ford motors and those sucked ass (according to many people on the fire f150 forums) and Maintance made mine run strong ??‍♂ btw every brand of forum I’ve been on hates on their own shit because they don’t think others are listening. If we went by what forums say, every motor ever made with every brand was the worst ever?

This will be week 4 since the 2.0L went to the dealership for a coolant leak and came out with a blown engine. Warranty was approved last week and now waiting on the engine to come in. 11200 miles on a 2021 2D.

I discovered a coolant leak on mine on Monday. Mine lost power on the way to the dealer on Tuesday. I got there before the Jeep did and the service manager very casually said it's a water pump or a new engine and said he's got a bunch of Wranglers with the same problem. He told me that I should expect it to take at least a month either way. We are about to enter salty road season, so I'm not exactly torn to be driving a loaner for a month or two... and keep the miles low :)

2019 JLu Sahara here 2.0 on 33s with a Mitsumoto Catch Can. 52,000-mile check-in and no issues with the engine itself and the Mitsinoto catch has minimal oil residue. The most was the AUX Battery at 10K but replaced for free under warranty. I love this Engine as the car can Haul when needed and it's fun compared to my Tacoma. If anythinyvid be more scared of the Suspension on our Jeeps. Get a little death wobble now and then...

Has anyone had any reliability issues with the 2.0 turbo 4 cyl?
I'm looking to buy a JLU and find several for sale with that engine.
Thanks

Mine just blew at 9K miles!!!!
It's a 2024 Wrangler!!!! This is ridiculous & Jeep says it's my fault????

Can't speak for longevity but after having one for 2 months and 6,000 miles I like it! I had planned on getting a V6, after searching dealers within 500 miles for a JLR it became pretty clear it was a 2.0 or custom order. For a little more than the cost of the V6 upgrade I put a extended warranty on the Jeep and now have a lot of years and miles before I have to worry about it. The turbo kicks in early and this motor hits peak torque at 3,000 rpm's. Peppy little motor. As was mentioned earlier, best fuel economy if you keep it around 60-65, start getting north of 70mph and it drops pretty quick.
Keep an eye out for oil leaks in your driveway!!!

Between your 3 posts, did you drive it without oil? At 9k you should have had an oil change, who did the work? Did they not tighten the filter or plug? Not but oil back in? Seems like there's a need for context here?

Nah, he'd rather just fly around spamming with anti-2.0 posts.
