Between your 3 posts, did you drive it without oil? At 9k you should have had an oil change, who did the work? Did they not tighten the filter or plug? Not but oil back in? Seems like there's a need for context here?
Oil change at Jeep Stealership July 2.

July 29 I brought Jeep back in as I was noticing a pattern of 2 big oil drip leaks in every place i had parked Jeep in driveway.
Service advisor kept calling it a thermostat issue.... and saying they were waiting on parts.

On the 3rd day of them having the Jeep I advised the advisor that I was leaving on a 20 hour road trip in the next 48 hours.

At 3PM he said he had no news on the part.

2 hours later Jeep was ready for pick up!

AUG 2:
During my 20 hour road trip, on a few occasions when I hadxto accelerate quickly into highways merge lane I experienced a quick sequence of sputtering..... then I noticed a couple times the next day that a puff of white smoke happened at the end of sputtering.
The July 31 service record shows the Stealership did a lot.

Seal - spark plug wall

Gasket cylinder head cover

Gasket thermostat

Line fuel

Seal fuel injector

If I'm reading correct added 5 quarts of oil

Added blue dye to check for leaks

Just tons of items

Bottom line, I thought maybe I needed some kind of adjustment or something tightened.

Apparently I shouod have known there were 2 new leaks happening... ya, they were not there before just happened on my road trip.

What I find odd is my home dealership service manager called me raising his voice, saying I had to know!!! I had to know!!!
He said there would have been smoke everywhere and burning oil smell.
I was driving with my family if that was happening I would have pulled over, but I didn't think that the occasional 3 second sputtering whine accelerating into traffic was a catastrophic sign?
No dash warnings
No Jeep App warnings - app said 100% health check

In Florida - Jeep Stealership said we checked the engine and the last dealers repair was perfect and intact.

The new issues were: throttle body was leaking oil into back of engine & turbo seal let go and caused the engine oil to leak into the cylinder.

14K repair invoice. Not covered under warranty because o should have known the signs?

So basically 3 engine oil lead issues in the same week. I would think that would qualify under warranty as a defective engine?

It's an almost new 2024. The last thing I'm thinking about is my new vehicle breaking down or not being reliable

Nah, he'd rather just fly around spamming with anti-2.0 posts.
Hey sorry man.
I'm just investigating - seems a lot of people have no issues with the 2.0, but I'm trying to find the customers who have had crazy experience like me.
I found one in a forum yesterday that said turbo blew at 13K miles & dealership denied warranty because one of their oil changes wasn't done at Jeep.

They can try to deny warranty for anything they want, but neither your situation or not getting oil changes at the dealer would hold up in court. Dumb that you might have to fight for warranty repairs, but sometimes you do.

I'm hoping this is a slam dunk case in my behalf....
That's a lot of engine leaks in a brand new 2024.
If the Jeep had of come with some warming, like don't take it out for long drives, thay would have been helpful

If there wasn't something clearly wrong with it, it wouldn't need that warning. We drove our 2019 with the 2.0t from CA to AL and back, wheeling along the way, on 38s. Long drives aren't a problem if it's built right.

I don't want to have to write this post because I too have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.0L Turbo. It has almost 16,000 miles on it now. I noticed, like others in this forum, that the coolant reservoir was a little bit low. Added some coolant to the black reservoir a few weeks ago. Then started looking around the engine for any noticeable leaks. Found one under the inlet tube that goes into the water pump. Took a picture for the dealership and took the Jeep to the dealership earlier this week. Today I reached out to the service advisor and at first he said it was ready. He told me that the service tech did a pressure test and did not find any leaks, and the system checked out okay. Service advisor asked me to show the photo the service tech, which I did. Service tech took a look and said he would take the Jeep back in and replace the gaskets for the inlet tube. Later in the day I get a call from service advisor who now says that the water pump itself will need to be replaced. And he said that the water pump is on backorder and does not know when the water pump will be available. On the one hand I appreciate the service tech looking at my photo of the leak and then looking at the Jeep again. On the other hand, I'm baffled at why it would need a new water pump and frustrated that the water pump is not available. I searched online myself on some online mopar parts websites and found that the water pump (5048710AH) is discontinued. Every mopar online parts website shows this part for a 2024 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.0L turbo is discontinued. I'm frustrated and worried. I have a trip to Colorado planned for the last week of September. Hope I get to go.

I’d give the dealer a couple days and make a call to Stellantis customer support. Get a case number and they will escalate with the dealership. I have done this process with a dodge caravan a few years back and even though it was worriesome they did make it right. Sucks I get it….but it does happen from time to time they’ll make it right. They are still making the 2.0L Turbo so there is a company supplying the water pump for it😉

That’s scary and frustrating. I keep adding coolant every 8k miles, but can’t see any leaks. Lack of parts for these motors? Already? That is concerning.

It's a fact that parts can fail much sooner than we might expect. You can take a bit of solace knowing that your vehicle is still under warranty for this matter.

A new VW of mine needed an ignition coil replaced just a couple of weeks after I drove it home. My new Wrangler YJ needed an entire new short block(!) just a couple of months after I drove that one home. I replaced a hub bearing assembly in my JLU at 50K, when I was expecting a considerably longer service life from that part. These things happen and we just have to deal with them.

Hopefully the pump will become available, sooner rather than later, and you'll be back in business. 👍

I've had a Rubicon with a 2.0 for 31,200 miles. No issues, warning lights, problems, anything.
Unless you count the guy who just rear-ended it. But I'd say that's unrelated.
But, it was hit, so are you sure the 2.0 is faultless?

And for full disclosure, my rubicon rear end, the entire assembly, is being replaced as it blew itself up at 4,500 hiway miles, 9 months old.

Here’s what I was told by dealer when I asked for more clarification about the water pump. They did replace the gasket for the inlet tube. Tech said in order to do that had to take water pump assembly off also. When they did that said they found fluid in a weep hole in the water pump and since there is water in this weep hole will need a new water pump. Tech said the water pump replacement and inlet tube gasket is approved for warranty. Since tech said water pump is on back order he put it all back together (new inlet tube gasket and original water pump) and said I could drive it until new water pump gets here.

The lack of parts, started with the COVID, but unfortunately, still continues. They just can't seem to get back on track. This appears to be the complete Auto Industry. One of our Daughters, is a high level Executive, with one of the auto Industry's largest suppliers of Chips. She has confirmed this to me many times. But now that the Auto Industry is in a massive down fall, this is giving them a chance to get back on track, with chip supplies. But if this down fall lasts to long, then they will be laying off Employee's. So it is a no win, win solution.

As long as new engines are available for the assembly line, Jeep has a coolant pump. They’re just choosing not to share it with you….

Don’t do it!!! Okay, the 2.0L is the least reliable engine in the history of Jeep. It constantly breaks down, it overheats all the time, it misfires frequently, it is a ticking time bomb. Go buy a ford escort.
Has anyone had any reliability issues with the 2.0 turbo 4 cyl?
I'm looking to buy a JLU and find several for sale with that engine.
Thanks
I bought a new 2019 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.0 turbo in May of 2020 and as soon as I drove it off the lot the check engine light came on. I did a U-turn and back to the dealership no problem and the light was off. Two weeks later the steering dampener went out and it went crazy up front. Then it started overheating in the middle of a trip. It began leaking coolant with 34K and has been parked ever since.
