What is Embittered coolant? I was looking at this on Amazon and I think it is purple. Isn't the fuild in the 2.0 T Orange? And this one looks to be the correct part number for $13?!
Would like the correct coolant, premixed, that is the correct color so the dealer can't say I added the wrong fluid. Thx

Checked the coolant level yesterday, and it just registered on the bottom of the dipstick. Ordered OAT coolant from Amazon and topped it off today to the Full mark.

To add, the Owner’s Manual’s process for checking the coolant level:

With the engine OFF and cold, the level of the
engine coolant should be within the OK range
between the ADD and FULL range on the dipstick.
1. Remove the cap with level dipstick from the
engine coolant bottle.
2. Clean off the coolant from the dipstick.
3. Rest the cap on the opening of the coolant
bottle without tightening the cap.
4. Remove the cap with dipstick and check the
coolant level on the dipstick.

I have the same problem, but is not the loose bolts. Is the coolant reservoir that is cracked. Is next to the turbo and it cracks by the heat

Whats the easiest way to get to those two water pump inlet screws? From the bottom looking up or reaching from the top down? Looks like a tight area regardless.

Top one from up top, bottom one from underneath

No noticeable leaks and temps never got above 220 over the summer. Found this thread and added some coolant from a new gallon purchased on Amazon. Pretty sure it was low from my the factory. A good bit went in. See picture.

About a month ago I had to add around a quart. I purchased my JLUR in May '21 so I've been driving it for over a year. I was running the offroad pages while highway driving and seen my temp hit 224. I had previously read about coolant leaks with the 2.0L and so I checked the resivouir and it was damn near dry. I topped it off and haven't had to add any since then.

I just had to add coolant to the top opaque tank for the third time, about 12 ounces each time. I had a little coolant left over so topped off the lower translucent tank for the first time. The lower tank didn’t really need it—it was just above the min line.

fwiw, I have tightened the two water pump bolts. I also had the dealer pressure test it and they found no issue. I’m not sure where the coolant is going but I’m still losing it, albeit slowly. Once every 5-8000 miles isn’t the end of the world, I suppose.

Did the dealer check your block to ensure you don’t have any blown heads or faulty gaskets where the coolant could leak into?

My quiet coolant leak left no evidence bc it was seeping into the block. I received no warnings while it happened until the damage was done. By that time I received only the ESS A! Light and code that was being thrown was a misfire in one of the cylinders.

Also, it could be a faulty EGR cooler. If you aren’t receiving any warning lights, that’s excellent, but I would have them check it, if you have a good relationship with the dealer.

Only had to add to the top black/opaque tank. Other one has been steady right in between the MAX / MIN lines.

Have also read the opposite, though.
