The way it was explained to me, usually in the TPMS world you have three types of sensors.
The OEM ones with the actual part number from Jeep. Then you have the same OEM manufacturer makes a DIRECT REPLACEMENT sensor. Same exact sensor as OEM but with a generic part number as they will fit multiple applications (those are the ones in the link from Schrader) and then you can have the third kind which is a multi purpose off brand from a different manufacturer (cheaper Chinese brand and even some other non Chinese brands)
The difference is while they will all be the same frequency, think ours is 433mhz, the SIGNAL STRENGTH can differ and that is what is causing the TPMS to not register.
At least that is what I was told.
