The way it was explained to me, usually in the TPMS world you have three types of sensors.

The OEM ones with the actual part number from Jeep. Then you have the same OEM manufacturer makes a DIRECT REPLACEMENT sensor. Same exact sensor as OEM but with a generic part number as they will fit multiple applications (those are the ones in the link from Schrader) and then you can have the third kind which is a multi purpose off brand from a different manufacturer (cheaper Chinese brand and even some other non Chinese brands)

The difference is while they will all be the same frequency, think ours is 433mhz, the SIGNAL STRENGTH can differ and that is what is causing the TPMS to not register.

At least that is what I was told.

For the ones running the ebay ones successfully, are you running aggressive offset like -12, am currently running ebay ones from a different seller with only the front driver working properly. I was gonna try the ones suggested here before trying the OEMs
Ive had them in a set of -38 KMC wheels, and now in a set of Trail Gear -32 offset without issues.

I know it has been a while, but wondering how these worked out? Amazon question and answer section says they will not work with the 2018 JL?
Well, the 2 front ones work and the 2 rear ones don't. I am not sure if it is the bigger rubber and thicker wheels (beadlocks) that are keeping the rear ones from transmitting properly, or if they are just poor knockoffs or something. I have not wanted to break down my beadlocks and install different sensors so I have just dealt with the nanny light for the moment.

Seems lots are having issues with aftermarket TPMS sensors when they are coupled with larger tires and wheels that have a stout offset, I had trouble with mine but once exchanged for a different OEM set they worked but it took quite awhile for them to sync up

I'm on my fourth set of the Ebay OEM sensors(2 on my 2018 JLUR, 1 on my wife's JLU, and our new 2019 2dr JL) and they all work just fine :like:
Great for the $50 or so I spent for a set

Just ordered a set for my new bead locks, hopefully I have success.

This is the link form TTEChris

I purchased these they are OEM Mopar Part Number 68241067AA (Replaced 68241067AB) Installed with Rubicon Takeoffs and K02 Tires.
Just to prevent others from the same issue I bought these for my 35” cooper stt pros and had no problem. Then bought 37” cooper stt pros with method beadlocks 3.5” and they don’t work properly. Only the front two will pick up and sometimes the front right will drop out. I’ve had them on for weeks now.

The eBay seller even said it’s bc of the thicker tires. See screenshots for proof.

Funny that you mention the Method wheels. I have put over 10 sets of these in various aftermarket wheels/beadlocks and the only time I had an issue was with a set of Method wheels. I noticed when looking at the placement/angle of the sensors in the Method wheels they seemed different than others I've put the same sensors in.

I also had 37x13.5 coopers on 17" KMC's with no issues

Huh super weird you might be onto something. I’m feeling very unmotivated to disassemble the beadlocks so maybe when I get bored one day if it snows in a couple of months I’ll undo them.

After reading this thread, I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have any issues with my new 37. I bought them online with wheels and TPMS installed. I have been expecting this whole time that I would have to take my Jeep in to have the new sensors synched, but am happy to read that THEORETICALLY I just need to install the wheels/tires and start driving.

I hope that it works!

thanks for the link. I just ordered a set.
Just an FYI, I got those also. Had them installed a Discount tire on my 37" Nittos and Icon Wheels. They could not get them to pick up. The jeep wouldn't recognize them. The only thing I can think is that they are too far away from whatever picks them up. I just turned them off with the tazer. Next time I go in for rotation, I will probably pay the $60 each for discount tires. :(
