Added the JLUR to the policy, effective Saturday when I go pick it up
$709/year, $700 (I think something like that) deductible-Northern Central Jersey
Have my dad as primary, not sure if having 4 drivers under 25 on the policy and the fact that my brother and I have (a lot) of points has anything to do with that

So this is interesting. I bought my Rubi last month and just switched over vehicles in my Geico account in order to drive it off the lot. My rate seemed high, 865.50 for state coverage then also collision and comp. I got around to doing some on line quotes and was getting about half that from progressive and farmers. i called Geico to give them a chance to match it as Ive been with them a long time. A few questions, a few answers, went on hold and low and behold I have a new rate for the same coverage at $378.00/six months! No joke. I live in the mountains in Colorado. Lesson; always get quotes and call.

Seems cheap for what you're describing....idk how rates are in central Jersey but compared to Los Angeles, that's a bargain....2k a year for me

Through AAA Insurance (think motor club) it looks like I’ll be around $295 every 6 mos. That’s $250k/$500k liability, $500 collision/$100 comprehensive (helpful for windshield replacements or slashed soft top windows) and a $5000 rider to cover any after market add-on’s I’ve added.

Insurance agent here!

It really depends on a myriad of variables such as where you live (not only state, but zip code as well), your driving record, your claims record, your age, your coverage (25/50/25 liability will be MUCH cheaper than 1M CSL, etc), number of vehicles, size of family, whether you are bundling, any extra options you add on it (disappearing deductible/car rental/roadside assistance/etc) and all of these little things vary depending on which insurance company you have. They all have their own little niche that they reside in.

Progressive may have the best price if you're within a certain age group, owns 2 cars, own a house, and is married where as Geico might be better if you're single, had no accidents, and rent, etc.

Generally speaking, Wranglers aren't very expensive, I know mine went down from about $750 with full coverage on my 2016 WRX to about $550 on my 2018 Rubicon, so it was very nice. (sports cars and especially those with forced induction does NOT look good to most insurers, so they are a bit more expensive. This COULD mean that the 2.0T Wranglers might actually be more expensive than the 3.6L or Diesel ones to insure)

That sounds like a good idea, here is mine.

Vehicle: Rubicon Unlimited
Year: 2018
State: Illinois
Insurance Company: AAA Insurance (Auto Club Insurance Association)
Coverage:
- Liability (BI/PD): 250/500/500
- Uninsured Motorist: 250/500
- Underinsured Motorist: 250/500
- PIP: no coverage/not offered
- Medical Payments: 10k
- Comprehensive: 100 ded
- Collision: 500 ded
- Rental: 50day/1500max
- Roadside: no coverage (included with AAA membership separate from insurance)
- Loan Payoff: no coverage

Price: $358.34 paid in full
Term/Length: 6 months

As a side note to everyone, something to consider on your own policies would be to lower your deductible on your comprehensive coverage. I've been with three different companies over the last 5-6 years and have been told the same thing, the cost increase is very negligible (for me it was less than $20 every 6mos) and if you have to make a claim for something stupid like someone slashing your soft top window or a breaking into your Jeep, you're not out of pocket for for big money.

Holy cow, do they at least buy you dinner first? :surprised:
NYC, get used to getting bent. That actually seems pretty cheap. My buddy's STI was like $3k per 6 months from what I recall (like $500+/month). Manhattan.

Pretty much. Another vehicle is coming soon so hopefully the multi car discount will help. Other then that, I envy those that have triple digit 6 month premiums.
