I recently read on this forum that a certain dealership in another state was very competitive on offering Mopar Max Care warranties (or service contracts). I contacted that dealership and got a number of quotes based on different years of coverage, miles, and deductible levels. I decided that a Mopar Max Care 5 year, 100,000 mile, $200 deductible was the plan for me. They quoted me $1470. I then reached out to my local Jeep dealership for a quote on the same 5-100k-$200 Max Care plan. They responded with a quote of $2895, and maxed at 60,000 miles.
Why are these two quotes so wildly different? I understand that some dealerships work harder to get your business, but twice the price for 40% fewer miles? Thoughts?
