Raising mine in Texas it seems . With progressive but opting to switch now.
$1,104 for 6 months .. 100/300k bodily . Clean record too, first alternative quotes I got are around $1,440
DAMN!!
I was upset with $821 for 6 months with a clean record with St. Farm and the options aren't much better.
What is it about Texas and Nevada that the insurance co.'s don't like?

Thought I'd throw my data into the proverbial ring.

With an average of about 15k miles per year(I moved from California, to Oklahoma, then to Colorado during that time) and no commute on a 22 JLUR this is what my insurance prices have been as a 28 year old with no traffic records and one windshield claim in the past year.

California: Statefarm
Bodily Injury: 300k/100k
Property Damage: 100k
Medical: 25k
Comprehensive: $250 Deductible
Collision: $500 Deductible
Un/Underinsured: 50k/100k
6 month term cost: ~$700

Oklahoma: Statefarm
Bodily Injury: 300k/100k
Property Damage: 250k
Medical: 25k
Comprehensive: $250 Deductible
Collision: $500 Deductible
Un/Underinsured: 50k/100k
6 month term cost: $966.52

Colorado: Travelers(w/PenFed Discount)
Bodily Injury: 300k/100k
Property Damage: 100k
Medical: 10k
Comprehensive: $250 Deductible
Collision: $500 Deductible
Un/Underinsured: 100k/300k
6 month term cost: $999.50

When I moved to Colorado I tried to get Statefarm again, but they wanted ~1600 for the same coverage I had in CA & OK. So I started to shop around. Progressive wanted $1950. Geico wanted $1680. Another company that Costco's Insurance line wanted to use wanted $2250 for a 6 month period.

I was about ready to move back to California with insurance prices like this. Luckily I remembered my credit union offered insurance discounts and tried travelers. How are people getting insurance for a third of mine? Is there a secret club to join and a handshake I have to learn? At least my registration will be about $600 cheaper in CO.

It’s the hail in Texas. Don’t know about Nevada.

Just paid $1,450 for a full year for my wife's 2019 XC90 and the 2019 JLUR. I was with Geico and premium went up from 1200-ish a year to 1800 which prompted me to shop around.
