As I was perusing the forum I began to realize a lot of negativity..What do you hate? Things I hate the most! Most hated mod? The list is endless. This thread is for positive thoughts and ideas. For example, I love the fact that I can hook my snowmobile trailer up to my JL, head up to Mt.Hood and air down my 37’s with beadlocks and thoroughly enjoy this recent dumping of snow. I love the fact I can go places many can’t get to and in going to those places I get to meet some awesome like minded people. A positive thread will attract negative trolls so please don’t feed them. Merry Christmas to all!!

Merry Christmas! There is bad and good to everything; those who wish to only look at the negatives will always have a pessimistic outlook on life. Yes, things break; yes, nothing is perfect but it is what is. I love our Jeep! 2018 Wrangler JLU, it’s our first JL after having a 10 JKU and a 14 JKU. I love everything about this one! After living with a 17 Cherokee for a year, it felt great getting back into a Wrangler! We all know there are strong points to these vehicles and there are weak points. We bought them for their strong points, knowing they had weak points. I’ll take care of what ever comes up when and if it does, but until then, I give you a wave and wish you a Merry Christmas!

I have had some issues but to be honest nothing that has left me stranded just some recalls and a bad factory battery but still don’t know what caused the battery issue and it never left me dead on the side of the road, all in all I am very happy with my Wrangler but you are correct we need some positive things to think about with our new Jeeps and thank you for pointing that out.

Merry Christmas and I’m hopeing all here get there issues resolved and enjoy many, many happy years with there new Wranglers

Great topic!

I've been on road and off road in 5 Western States. From an elevation of 6' to almost 9000', been in sand, mud, water, heat, cold and rain. No snow yet. Been to the store, Jeep dealer, Death Valley, AZ.desert, NV. desert, the parks of Utah and some of NM and all parts between Winnetka, CA to and from.
I have enjoyed all this Jeep offers ESPECIALLY all the things that set it apart by being a Jeep. I did not want a cush cush cushy, silent ride that was equally able to conquer the parking lots of hiking and biking trails! I have nothing but kudos to share as this life of retirement has blessed me with the ability to pick up, pack up, roll up and venture off anywhere at anytime and this Jeep has kept up with me and more. Best description I have when sharing about it, ' Point and shoot'. It has gone anywhere I have pointed it. Yes it has been moderately modified, however, it's early days being stock have seen black diamond trails with some care and spotting.
Hands down, the most enjoyable, capable vehicle I have ever owned. Jeep's, trucks, sports cars and motorcycles.
Oh, and not one problem yet at the 14131 mile mark.
I know there's more stories out there like mine, I agree let's here them!!!

Satire (not trolling).

Mike. This is going to be tough for me. I'm a NYer after all--Sesame Street's Oscar the Grouch has nothing on me!;)

First try:

"I'm thankful that my JL has a warranty to cover everything that breaks!!!"

(No, that's no good. Give me second.) (I've had few problems.)

"I'm so thankful that my JL comes equipped, even as a base model, with so many features that leave the need for an aftermarket for the rig all but irrelevant."

(No...sorry....It takes a while for someone like me. Please be patient.)

Hows about this one: serious, joke aside.

This is not political, just fact.

In the 1970's a series of left leaning celebrities put out an album called "Free to Be You and Me," that some loved and others hated https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_to_Be..._You_and_Me . In its time it tackled taboo subject matter we talk about freely today, that started a conversation that to its supporters was a Godsend, and to its haters, created a generation of "snowflakes." Mine's not the place to say where anyone should sit on this continuum.

But it occurred to me, Wrangler owners knew of this sentiment long before it became an album; a cause; a movement. We appreciate the importance of the rig in securing our freedom, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willys_MB as one of the 6 most important vehicles in WW 2, we modify it to express our Freedom, and we wave to other Wrangler owners, even with stock rigs, to respect other owner's rights to outfit their rigs, if at all, as they see fit.

Here's one owners' idea:

Jeep Wrangler JL Positivity Thread Only beast

and yet, even if not my thing, here's another owner's (Lilly Pulitzer, vacation and preppy woman's fashion designer) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilly_Pulitzer take on modding theirs:

Jeep Wrangler JL Positivity Thread Only lillypulitzerjee

(A limited collection of wrapped JKs I hear are worth $ today.)

So maybe our version of the Free to Be You and Me album might have had us all proudly holding out our middle finger in "sticking it to the man," stance, but we understand these concepts no less than others.

Safe and happy holidays everyone!

I like my JL, it occasionally has hiccups, but cannot stop my smile every time I step into it. Just think about:
  • The potential endless mods list I can do (my is still bone stock)
  • The potential fun places it will bring me to (have not been anywhere because of winter)
  • Many many friends I will make on the road (wave or not)

I’m just happy I have another Jeep, I’ve experienced some of the issues others have had like the steering problems but I take an optimistic approach and simply fix the issue which is essentially “upgrading”, at least that’s how I justify it in my head..lol. At the end of the day I’m glad I’m in a position to be able to have nice things, help others achieve their goals when I can and most of all I love exploring Gods Country with family and friends. There’s a lot of really good people on this forum and even though things get sideways once in awhile collectively we help build some awesome rigs!!

I'm thankful to finally own my first Jeep and looking forward to all the mods that seem to be infinite.

I'm also thankful for the members in this forum that I'm learning is the go to source for all things Jeep.

Merry Christmas everyone.

New Jeep owner.

It's the only vehicle I have or ever will own that causes me to save Arlo security camera videos to my phone just so I can watch myself drive in and out of my driveway anytime I want. I love the look, feel and this thing's potential.

I picked up my first Jeep 2 weeks ago after nearly a year of researching and planning. I spent countless hours on this forum and it been great, albeit stressful. I've worried about all the negativity but I've also tried to stay realistic about what forums are for...posting problems and solutions.
I've been driving a 2006 Land Rover for 9 years and while it's expensive to fix and has many little issues, it's been a beast that has served me well. Maybe my bar is low from that but I love my new Rubicon, it's comfortable and is driving great so far and has made me smile every time I get into it.
I'm not sure you can make 6000 vehicles of any type a week and not had a few that had problems. I'm sorry for those who have but all in all I think it's a good piece of machinery that is making a lot of people happy to have one.
Cheers and Merry Christmas!!

Never too cold... We have awesome heaters. :like: but seriously I think the coldest I ever had my TJ top down was at around 45 degrees on a very starry night. My husband and I simply stopped in the middle of a back country road and turned off all the lights and watched the sky.
