I had my 2019 covered by and repaired under warranty. If you intend to keep the Jeep for any period of time you might consider proactively having the body shop replace your hinges with the “new style hinge” and do the associated prep work on the panels where the hinges attach. Yea it’s over kill and you should not have to do it but if your Jeep is a rust bucket in 1,2,3 … years it’s value it’s going to crater. The work so had to have done was in excess of $12K to give you an idea..

Proactively paying to have that done? They won't cover it with the warranty until it's already fucked.

So I have a 2020 JL i have 2 corrosion spots on jeep it's going to be covered in have month left on this warranty having said that more is obviously going to happen does anyone know we're i van find a class action lawsuit to sign up for? This is insane that they won't extend coverage for this issue

Ask @JeepCares if they know of any good Class Action Lawsuits to join?? Maybe they can facilitate one for us.

This all day long. I have a few small spots. Hood, 1 or 2 hinges and that's about it. At the rate it has expanded in 6 years the frame would rot out before I worry about this.

With those salted roads, in the NJ winters, a little bubbling paint is the least of your worries.

They don’t salt. They use brine heavily. I’m at the car wash after every snow storm spraying my wife’s suv and my jeep down. We don’t get much snow. I’m in the southern end on the 95 corridor and 90% of the time it misses us. North and closer to NY gets it a lot more.

I lived in Westwood NJ, back in the late 60's, and we would get a lot of snow and ice there. I miss the snow, just not the shoveling.

Yeah that’s definitely North Jersey. I bought a snowblower when we moved into this house back in 2015. I’ve used it maybe 5 times since then.

Aluminum oxidizes to alumina, it is a protective outer layer on aluminum. It is chemically stable and only occurs on the surface.

I live on Eastern Plains of Colorado. Local Dealer said to go to local body shop who does their warranty work. Body shop wouldn't do it since dealer hadn't paid them for last couple wrangler jobs.

I decide it is a Wrangler. This was a DIY job. So an afternoon, big wrench to break bolts, some sand paper, gasket material, tape, primer, and a spray can of truck bed liner fixed my 2020 JL just fine. Looks better than picture shows, but I like the way it turned out.

So far so good, anyway! Nice thing about the bed liner, hides imperfections and easy to touch up!

Um, its not Rust? It is corrossion per all the threads I see here. Totally different fixes for Corrossion! Besides, diamond plate hides the problem. I Solved the problem! For the hinges anyway. So Far.
