In a fair and just world, Bosch and Ram would just see the obvious answer in front of their faces and demand a return to the CP3. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that injection pump; rock solid reliable and capable of MAJOR horsepower and torque before needing to be modified or doubled up. The Duramax fellas and fellettes have been suffering the pain of CP4 longer than the Cummins crowd has. I think the CP4 can, at this point, be ruled an objective failure. Part of engineering is admitting when your design wasn't an improvement over a legacy design and yielding to better minds of the past, but I think they skip that chapter in most engineering schools nowadays.they recalled the HD rams for them though I don’t know what they are doing to fix. Maybe that will happen for us too?
