hand tight would not be tight enough at all! Hand tight would be using your hand to screw it in, definitley need to use a tool. At least that's what I consider hand tight. Otherwise you could say "hand tight... with a 12' long handled wrench" and that would be like 1000ft/lbs hahahah
Good point, you're right, my terminology is probably not correct. I go tight with the provided tool, which is small enough to just get snug without breaking/stripping anything. I'm not yanking on the end, I'm turning the tool at the center with minimal force.

Me too, and I don't remove the top often enough to worry about any easier way to get it done, it's pretty simple as-is, similar to disconnecting my sways, no need to make it easier in my case.

I just use the hand knobs from Amazon post above.

As for my doors, I have never put those bolts back on. They're living their best life in the rear cubby rent free zone.
