The tail lamps aren’t included (part of AD6), but yeah order guide still shows headlights and fogs included (package ADA, included with Willy’s quick order package). The tail lamps can still be had with the safety package AJ1 though.

I got my info from Jeep’s build and price. Chose Willys (not Willys Sport) and it shows LEDs as a separate option. Jeep is notorious for bad info on the web site though.

I feel I really lucked out getting a 2020-ordered MY21 Willys. Really wanted the LED lights, saw minimal use of lockers in the long run (not hugely worried on resale, as hoping to keep it long term). If I had to order now though, might take a different direction - kids (9 / 11) already complaining that the Willys doesn't have the rear center armrest like our GTI had. We almost went Freedom Ed just for that - cheapest factory non-Katzkin leather / cheapest rear center armrest. Kids will stop complaining once the doors come off. Overall, I still feel like it's a good, factory value proposition for someone with no time/patience/$ (or a legit use case necessarily) to execute their own build, but still want a step up in some of the hardware>
I bet some type of stiff memory foam pillow or miscellaneous cushion would be a nice and possibly cheaper workaround until you find something permanent. You've given me something to be concerned over as the little one grows, up, though :p.

So when and why were the LED lights removed from the package? That's one of the better selling points of a Willys for me.
Highly agree. Those stock halogens are not good and that was one of the things that sold me on the Willys trim originally. That and it already looks badass. I still miss my blacked out grill.

Not at all! Just my reasoning, going over and over it all in my head before purchasing.
Totally get it. After my 3rd dealership experience, if we get another Jeep in the next few years, I'm going to visit the dealer in VA I hear such great things about and custom order.

No telling why the LEDS were taken out of the pkg. Just looked, it’s now a $1040 option for the LED headlight and foglight pkg!

Around here, Willys seam to be out selling all other trims. If one shows up on the lot, it’s gone in a short time.

As far as resale, have any of you seen what a used JL or even JK Sport sells for? A Rubicon has better resale because it cost more to begin with. I would bet that a Sport retains a higher percentage of it’s sale price though.
FWIW, I got tip-top of my trade-in value based on KBB when I was doing some research. Mine had about 8k miles on it, but did have a couple pretty good door dings from an incident.

Latest order guide (March) still shows LED headlights and fog lights as packaged with the Willys (not Willys Sport) trim. May be a configurator error....

May want to verify with a dealer if ordering.
When I went to start shopping for an Unlimited, I saw quite a few Willys (not Willys Sport) configured without them and was pretty disappointed. One of the dealers around me, however, seems to lump them into one of their preferred customer packages and they tend to order a bunch in all the same config.

Yea, I looked at that also. I think it may be a configurator thing. We all know that page is made to help you find what your looking for. We will have to see what the next order guide says. If they do drop the LEDs you can get KC LED headlights for about $800! :like:

because as LEDs go, the factory LED headlights suck?

there are better LED headlights available for less money; i would have gladly skipped the LED headlights when i ordered mine last year had i had the option.

So when and why were the LED lights removed from the package? That's one of the better selling points of a Willys for me.

A similarly optioned Rubi seems to be about $5-6k more. Fairly close for some, miles away for others, to each their own. Personally, the only upgrade that seems a to be a really big PITA/expense if you got it aftermarket is the wide axles. All the rest I wouldn’t mind just building up on my own over time.

You could of course cut out some DD quality of life options in the Rubi to get the price down, but I’d rather build up the off road capability on my own instead of the comforts on my own. Aftermarket seems to often exceed OE quality in terms of wheeling upgrades, but not so much on the comfort upgrades (though their some pretty sweet examples of those in the forum as well).

In the end for me, the reality is that it’s going to be a daily driver with wheeling in the off time, so Willy’s seems the best value for prioritizing those comforts and then building up the rest on my own.

Put another way, with $$ limited, I can live without the lockers for a while, but the comforts and safety groups are a must have if I’m going to hauling the kids around on weekdays.

The 25w package includes the LED headlights. With the other includes on that package is what make the difference between th e Willys and the Willys Sport.

I put a fuel door on mine today. Can’t believe what a difference such a small thing can make. As far as I can tell, it’s not even an option on the Willys

It was an option on 20s until January of 20 then no more. I got the Mopar on Amazon for $50.

How did you manage to get this for $50? They are $100 now on Amazon!

Are we doing fuel doors now? Cool!

How does this fit? I read on here from others that sometimes the non Mopar fuel doors don’t seat flush with the body or line up well to the clips that hold it in place.

I like the look of this door!

I think it works great! It sits perfectly flush, and actually has more clips than the stock open fuel area cover (or whatever you call that thing).

the fuel door is standard on the Diesel (and i'm glad it was).

can't have people looking at our DEF port now, can we? ;)
